You know it's aweseome. And if the car isn't enough, know that it came with this:

Talk about a dream car. I don't even want it (like most amazing cars) I just want to drive it...just once.

It's cool, but when they reviewed it on Top Gear they left it charging all night and it ran out of power after just a couple of hours, so they used the back-up and exactly the same thing happened to that too.Ninja-HippoThey always push cars to their limits. If I had one, I wouldn't drive it like that.
Automotive perfection right there. But if we're talking about something i could reasonably afford:
A john cooper works mini. Take an already awesome Mini Cooper S and soup it up to damn-near supercar levels of awesomeness.
Why drive at 200 to pull the skin back on your face when you can drive at 88 mph and travel through time...yeah.

If I had one, I wouldn't drive it like that. What's the point in owning a supercar if you're never going to drive it fast through fear of it breaking down? Also, i think it's silly to assume that the only reason it broke down was because they pushed it to hard. They do that with literally every car on the track, including the god-awful car they throw around the track every week for 'star in a reasonably priced car' and that doesn't break down. It just seemed like a huge warning sign when not one but TWO of them broke down on them after just a few hours of racing them around a track.

no there not, the bbc make top gear and there are not sponsored by anyone. and they did a whole segment on the honda hydrogen car and said it was the future of motoring... doesn't sound biased to oil to me.

they didnt just run out of juice, the brakes broke on one, and the motor overheated on the other.

Exactly. :)
Right, Top Gear's last episode was a feature on the Honda Clarity and how amazing it's going to be and how it'll finally break our dependence on oil if it catches on. :roll:Top-Gear is biased and is sponsored by oil companies. The cars probably never broke down. Many people own the Tesla Roadster and are satisfied with their purchase.

He means that with Hydrogen, the oil companies can still have the status quo on energy
Since electricity is every where and easily accesible, the oil companies would lose all control

Best car ever made... I will own this car within the next 5 years even if I'm paying 2-300 a month. I don't like the wing on the car though. Thats a no no :(. But still this my dream car and its affordable now at around 17k-28k.

Its great that they've been able to create something that goes fast and with a good range, but ultimately it needs to be big enough for a family. With enough investment in hybrids and electric cars, it should be a viable alternative for almost everyone within the next few years.Bourbons3They already do. It's called the Model S, It seats 7, has a 300 mile range and charges up from 0% in under 45 minutes.
In case you're suicidal:
Around 530kg and > 500 bhp. 0-60 time of under 3 seconds (probably hold back by low weight, so not enough grip on the tires) but it can actually do corners as well.

If you want speed then just get a bike. :P
I'm pretty sure that the caterham will beat out (nearly) every bike you can get. The power to weight ratio actually gets close to formula one cars.
I just looked up the power to weight ratio of a kawasaki ZZR1400 and it's 170 bhp to 235 kg, quite a bit lower then the caterham and that's without factoring in the weight of the driver. Are there any faster road legal bikes?
Bugatti Veryron duh, I can't believe this is even still a question
The car can hit 60 mph in just 2.5 seconds, 100 mph in 5.5 seconds, and 150 mph in 9.8 seconds. Getting to 200 mph takes 18.3 seconds, and 250 mph takes 42.3 seconds.
A special key is required to "unlock" the Veyron's top speed of 250+ mph. The car is then lowered to just 3.5 inches from the ground. A hydraulic spoiler extends at speed, and it can also serve as an air brake.
The Veyron weighs a hulking 4,160 lbs, but even its harshest critics admit its handling is surprisingly sharp. Gordon Murray, designer of the McLaren F1 was very skeptical of the Veyron during its development, but after driving the finished car, he conceded it is a "huge achievement."
