In case you're suicidal

kipknots

If you want speed then just get a bike. :P

I'm pretty sure that the caterham will beat out (nearly) every bike you can get. The power to weight ratio actually gets close to formula one cars.

I just looked up the power to weight ratio of a kawasaki ZZR1400 and it's 170 bhp to 235 kg, quite a bit lower then the caterham and that's without factoring in the weight of the driver. Are there any faster road legal bikes?

Suzuki Hayabusa 2008 onwards, 197bhp, 220kg.
Ducati 1098, 160bhp, 173kg, 0-60 less than 2.5secs, top speed around 180mph.

Trust me, once you get on a bike you never want to get off one. The thrill and power you get is insane, bending around corners, holding on for dear life, it's definately something you should experience in life. :P

that tesla is great for what it is, but it still doesn't have the sounds of a super car.

until it changes what the sounds of a supercar are.

Exactly. Electric cars will dominate. The era of the combustion engine is coming to an end.

Also you get more of a spence of speed on a bike. You'll feel like you're going faster on a bike going 30mph than you would in a car going 60mph

An American Ricer? That car isn't even american. Its a European Rally Car only sold in Euro, only a few of them exist in america, and I've only seen a few in my lifetime. It really is a serious car, and it can take on and EVO or STi anyday of the week, in any weather, and it is 20 years old....

Then theres also the 1992-1996 Escort Rs Crosworth

£87k they start at n the UK. No way will I ever be able to afford a car that expensive. Electric cars will not replace petrol and diesel cars at that price.

I like the idea of the electric "sports car" but it lacks soul. Albeit these things and others soon to be like it are incredible strides forward in both technology and forward-thinking. But where is the sound of that throaty V8? The popping of a the valves open and closed with a huge lift cam shaft?

Not my cup of tea but I do appreciate it.

They said the same thing for this year with the standardized engines for all cars.

Ferrari is just saying, don't do this or we're out, and the FIA will do what they want, because letting Ferrari drop out would be suicide.

Lol, thats the regular Ultimate Aero, they haven't created the electric version yet. Or atleast no real pictures of the motor. They've only announced plans to build the fastest electric car, no word yet on how the project is coming along though....I read about their plans back in January. So far, the official web site for that car hasn't had an updated blog.

I'm not going to believe it until they provide evidence that they actually built it.

But if they accomplish what they say they will, it will change the world lol. Now I just want them to be able to make it feel like a normal car, and make it work with a 5-6 speed manual transmission....
