I remember that scene, it was so sad.
The ending of The Fellowship of the Ring really gets to me.
More recent movie that got me to tear up was Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy.
Also, Bicycle Thieves.

If you thought BT was sad, watch Umberto D.
the first Pokemon Movie when Ash sacrifices himself so that Mewtwo and Mew don't kill each other and then pikachu and the other pokemon cry and revive Ash with their tears. ZumaJones07

I saw that movie with one of my buddies thinking it was more of a comedy than a drama. He thought it was kind of boring but I connected with it and teared up a little. I have been recently diagnosed with two life-threatening and life-altering diseases that have put me in the hospital for weeks at a time during the past year. That movie gets everything right pretaining the reality of such events. It really hit close to home.
anyone who grew up with fond memories of the first two movies should have had tears in their eyes during the end of that movie definatelyToy Story 3

Grave of the Fireflies has been the only movie to really make me cry. :X, I'm not sure what did it. I think it was a combination of the music, the artistry, and the fact that well....for anyone who has watched it, you know how it ends.Lethalhazardi heard a good way to put that movie, its one of the best movies that i never want to see again

It's depressing as hell but there was a lot of attention to detail in the film that you might not catch the first couple of times. Love the painterly backgrounds too.

[QUOTE="martinX3X"]anyone who grew up with fond memories of the first two movies should have had tears in their eyes during the end of that movie definately I almost cried when they were in the fire/hot lava thing or whatever it was lol. But after they got saved, I manned up and realized they wouldn't kill them like that. The movie should have ended with Andy taking all his toys with him and TS4 be about him being socially awkward and still playing with his toys.Toy Story 3

Watched that with my mum ... sad movie indeedThe last time I let my girlfriend pick the movie -- My Sister's Keeper... damn you cancer!!

no. it is only permissable for a man to cry when someone dies, and at the grand canyon.
Ron fvcking Swanson is a boss
Shawshank Redemption at the end.
Tears of Happiness, but still.
As far as sadness goes, Green Mile anyone? Second time around just broke me up.
Not exactly a movie but,
At the "end" of the Sharpe series when Hagman and Harris die together at waterloo i blubbered abit :(
When Arnie dies at the end of Terminatorjudgement day,was a very sad day.
I'll be honest with ya, there's a scene in Click that sucks if you've lost your dad.david_criticI nearly cried at the end of that movie. It was almost bizarre how it goes from so funny and nonchalant to so deep and depressing. Especially for an Adam Sandler starring role.
The end scene in Toy story 3, I am Legend with the dog, Reign over me (where adam sandler's family dies in 9/11)FrostyPhantasmI shed tears during that movie but only because it was sooooo boring.
I remember crying as a little kid in 2nd grade after we had watched Ole Yeller. Also I know it's even more cliche but Titanic can still garner a misty eye. I mean... She let go.. :(JoeInWonderlandYeah, right after she promises not to!
That movie sounds pretty good. I think I'll check it out.The Diving Bell and the Butterfly was so mind numbingly depressing that I think it would be okay for anyone to cry whilst watching it

I've never found myself sad or even caring watching a film about cancer or similar deadly diseases. To me they are just cheap exploitive films that just angers me. Especially when there are so many heartwrenching documentaries with the same subject to watch instead.
Cancer films are one of the cheapest and easiest form of entertainment and very few of them are actually good. "Baw, the man, woman or child died at the end, who could have guessed!?". Yeah, doesn't work for me.
They are almost as cheap as having Sean Penn stare at the sunset softly crying. "WE ARE DEEP DAMMIT SO START CRYING OR YOU ARE CLEARLY A HEARTLESS MONSTER!!!"
