You're both wrong. When we die we'll become a part of the Lifestream... and there we merge with another to become an entirely new person... or tree... yup. It's teh truth! :oMissRiotmaker
You copied FINAL FANTASY 7 :o
I agree with the fact that energy can't be destroyed. That's why I believe in reincarnation.CIoud_S
I want to become a Unicorn :)

No they copied me. * nods *Aw, cute, but wrong. Our "energy" is transferred from our rotting corpse back into the environment by the bacteria and other organisms that digest us.DeeJayInphinity
You're a big meanie, and nah, there is an afterlife. It's about as much fact as you just stated.

Well I would eat your sig if it became cheese
Do you imagine it tasting nice?Aw, cute, but wrong. Our "energy" is transferred from our rotting corpse back into the environment by the bacteria and other organisms that digest us.DeeJayInphinity
You just agreed with me. Our energy will live on so no one technelly dies.; I mean who is to say we were not dinosaurs in the past.
You are incorrect as some have already pointed out.
Does anyone else not want there to be an after life? I really do not.

Why wouldn't you want for there to be an afterlife?
And why haven't I seen you around The Board lately?

I don't think there is an afterlife or reincarnation. DeeJay is right. the energy left in our body that isn't stored up in the chemical bonds in sugars, fats etc. is expended by our muscles via rigor mortis, and then bacteria, insects, etc, eat the sugars, fats, and other cells in our body and use them to reproduce.Very simpl.

1. Unicorns don't eat grass, they eat meat. They are carnivores.2. All Unicorns are female, so I don't know if you really wanna be a girl
3. Unicrons are lonely
4. Unicorns are hunted all the time
5. Unicorns don't exist.

Well, "we" are not alive, so there is no afterlife. The energy and matter within us is just recycled but "we" as a unit no longer exist.[QUOTE="Suliman-Uchia"][QUOTE="CIoud_S"][QUOTE="Suliman-Uchia"]Good luck with thatI want to become a Unicorn :)

Everything but the first one is correct. Unicorns eat the hearts of innocent children. We human are made of energy. Energy cannot be destryed can only be altered or transferred. We may end up going to hell or heaven. Or we may turn to plant and flowers. Or maybe we will become soil.Suliman-Uchiathat is not quite a "life" after death.

Mostly because I want to live my life and be done with it. Do not really fell like being alive in whatever sense for the rest of eternity. And I have been a little busy , so I have not been to The Board in awhile but plan to go back soon.

Could be a possibility, but I still like to consider the possibility of some other hidden potential to the electrical signals/impulses that take place through out our brain. Not as it that is destroyed or 'absorbed' into the earth roflmao.
The brain would need energy to function, and without a digestive system to give it energy, it will not function. Try starving to death and you'll see what I mean. That means that the brain itself will die and rot eventually, taking with it all of your memories, instincts, your personality etc. There is no afterlife.Could be a possibility, but I still like to consider the possibility of some other hidden potential to the electrical signals/impulses that take place through out our brain. Why must there be an afterlife? Why can we not just life our lives to the fullest now, appreciate them for what we get and then just die happy? Why must we concern ourselves with what may or may not come after?foxhound_fox
There must be an afterlife because I really really really want there to be one. Therefore the afterlife exists.
Not too difficult to work out.

You're happy with the idea that you could just cease to exist one day? :?

Yeah, but this is where the possiblity of a soul is possible, of sustaining that energy. Heck the energy could even be self-sustaining and in that sense could possibly even be the soul. There is a distinct possiblity there is a afterlife, and I still don't like you :).

Let's have this discussion again when you're not just randomly speculating about self-sustaining invisible energy that carries representations of physical matter.Yeah, but this is where the possiblity of a soul is possible, of substaining that energy. Absolutely but that is still closed minded thinking. If noone thought outside the box we would still live in caves.

the idea of a soul is a metaphysical idea that humans have come up with. there is no proof that a soul actually exists.

Lol @ invisible, just not visible to the human eye, energy can be seen with the proper scopes. I don't see where randomness comes into play either, oh well not as if I care that you wallow in ignorance in every post :\.
