You haven't made serious money; you've made 450 dollars. Finish school and do art simultaneously, that way you can get into a university/fine arts program. Most fine arts programs, even at schools that specialize in fine arts, like to see a basic education in the "fundamentals." Furthermore, most (successful) modern artists also study graphic design, computer programming, and other disciplines. You would be doing yourself no favors by dropping out with the misguided notion that the successful eccentric artist of the past still exists today, and that you may become him (because you won't).
Likewise, at 16 or 17, you can't imagine how ignorant a statement like "I don't care if I become a hobo as long as I do what I love!" sounds like; if you make this decision, you likely will not be doing what you love. At some point your sense of self-worth will scream at you, telling you "stop squandering your father's money and be your own man!" I know it's hard to conceptualize that at 16, but it will happen. At 25, your dad's money, house, and business wont seem quite as attractive.
