don't you just love double standards
Mikey132
The difference in this is. The dead beat dad has a living breathing kid that he's neglecting. The women never let it breathe. It's two different situations.
The dad doesn't usually have a say in weather baby lives or dies like the mother so it really isnt fair. If a mother chooses not to have a baby but the father wants it then people are okay and except that decision. They say shes being responsible but when a guy decides the same but cant convince the mom to get an abortion he is consider a dead beat dad so yeah double standard.
i agree. if the dad doesnt want to have anything to do with the kid i dont think he should have to pay child support or anythingI've said for years that I don't like that men have no say. If the father wants the baby and the mom doesn't, abortion it is. If the Mom wants it and the dad doesn't, the dad has to support it. It's not fair. It should be a 50/50 say.

Oh ok. I didn't know wanting an abortion considers you a dead beat from the get go.
And I had no choice in my situation. My girlfriend said "I'm pregnant :( .... I'm not having it" I was screwed from that point, my opinion and feelings meant notta after she said that. She was having an abortion and there was no stopping it.
My gf got a abortion when I was 21. Still haunts me to this day. Then again with the way some chicks are, who even knows if it was mine.....
I think the decision should be left up to the parties involved. It's a touchy topic for me.
Mikey132
Good. That way both parties can be charged with conspiracy to commit murder and 1st degree murder.

Well, I felt we should have it. And if we had of it means today the kid would be 10 years old, I'd probably hardly see the kid... he'd probably be calling someone else "Daddy" as well. I don't wonder why she didn't want the kid..... she'd suck at being a mom. I'll go as far as saying it probably saved a life by taking one. You gotta live through it to understand it though.
Ever had a girlfriend of yours abort a baby?
EDIT: lol, I said "he'd" because I always imaginged a guy.
Boo hoo. Life is so unfair to men.
TecmoGirl
Life isn't unfair.
Democracy is.
In democracy people who aren't productive have as much say as people who are.
They can vote themselves benefits and free money.
As long as we have democracy, women will be riding on our necks demanding free money, and comparing being home with one's own child to working in the salt mines.
While most men blame women for this...situation...it's actually men who come up with these schemes, different classes of men don't want other classes of men to have the opportunity to procreate.
ie Liberal elities want the rich only to have children. They don't want more black babies being born. They don't want women being impregnated by unemployed lower class men, so they force payment for children.
Liberal modus operandi is to dissolve families and chain women to govt, then use those voters to push thru a radical agenda in the name of protecting women.
But it's all about making the govt stronger and the individual powerless.
Hmmm. Well because protection is mostly on the man, that's part of it. Then the Woman has to go through surgery, which isn't a comforatable process. The woman also isn't leaving someone to raise a kid on their own. I think its very different for each gender.
It isn't a straight-up double standard. The woman goes through a lot more during pregnancy than the man does. I'm not saying the man's opinion is worthless, but she should have more say.
JML897
That's not really the point though. I kinda lol that you've said that.

Enlighten me on what the point is.It's about a man that dosen't want a baby being called a dead beat and a woman that dosen't want one being called pro-choice
By nature women are dependent on men for survival.
It's hard to run from predators carrying a bowling ball in your stomach.
She depends on him to keep herself and the baby alive.
This naturally results in trust and lifelong family bonds.
Govt has usurped those bonds for its own benefit.
Now the woman owes "govt" gratitude and lifelong bonds, instead of her mate (even tho govt is not capable of paying anything, it must first tax the man to protect the woman. In short men do all the work, govt gets all the credit.)
She no longer needs him and there is no bond.
Govt will eventually evolve to understand this and take it into consideration, lest it will foment dissatisfaction and breed civil war.
For now this is the situation.
I don't blame women, I blame liberal men.
I only blame some women for going along with it passively, instead of helping men to keep their families.

You're comparing apples and oranges though.
I've always liked Kelley's comics.
Anyways, yes the double standard is there for men and women but for this comic, the first situation implies that the baby has already been born where as the second situation implies that the baby has not yet been born. Regardless, responsiblity is belayed on both adults and either one of them could be "deadbeat" if they didn't want to take care of the already-born child.

I enjoy your posts in this topic. Keep the rational thought coming.

JML897
Between 9 months of pregnancy and the lifelong demands of being a father (divorced or otherwise, child support or otherwise) the pregnancy is physically and emotionally less destructive.

So the Women gets more say because she has to have the baby lol. That's silly imo the fate of a childs life should not be determined by who suffered more during gestation and that period can be grueling for both actually. The man may not go through the physical changes but he's still got the mental stuff to go through. It takes two to tango and that baby is as much the mans as it is the woman. A women should have more say when she can get pregnant by herself. Besides what truly matters is what goes down once the baby is born and that's both parents responsibility 50/50 right down the middle.

Well, read again.. I've already said this. Yet, I was informed...apparently, that wanting an abortion as a male means you are a dead beat.. I don't agree though.

But it doesn't feel as good if you use a condom! Life is so unfair to men!
That's actually true, it doesn't feel as good. I'm an old man compared to most around here and lost my Virginity when I was 16 in 1997. I've been sexually active ever since and have never had a pregnancy scare or an STD. They are two things that are extremely easy to avoid, and I have little sympathy for folks that aren't responsible.[QUOTE="Mikey132"]

and we have an /thread
EDIT: There is a lot of stupidity in this thread.
If you don't trust her with your life, don't stick her.
If she wants to lie and say she is on birth control, you will be the one with lifelong responsibilities.
She will be receiving 2 jackpots :
1. A child in her life
2. Hundreds of thousands of dollars from you
Then she will move on to the next guy, and maybe do the same thing. Or maybe just settle down.
Either way her life will rock.
Your life will consist of being looted by 13 agencies and driving across 3 states to visit your child.
If you fail to earn enough, you will also experience prison.
Why do you think so many men are turning into trannies.
Being a man is hard, get used to it.
