My gf got a abortion when I was 21. Still haunts me to this day. Then again with the way some chicks are, who even knows if it was mine.....

I think the decision should be left up to the parties involved. It's a touchy topic for me.

Good for her, I can't imagine wanting a child with your DNA.

With that kind of statement, I hope you know that guy in real life. Otherwise, it's invalid.

I've seen his posts, so I can make a fair judgement. I don't need to know him, idiocy is difficult to hide when you mostly communicate by text.

You're basing someones worth by their internet reputation? Eh...

Um, no, not by reputation, rather the quality of their posts and their content. They can say a lot about how a person behaves and I've come to incredibly fair conclusions based on that.

Yes, and no. A lot of misinterpretations can be made, and you never know the circumstances/mood their under/in when they post. The only thread - at the top of my head - that Mikey acted out on was the thread with AP, and he said that it was "months in the making". I'm not trying to create an argument, I just don't see why constant insults are thrown on Gamespot.

[QUOTE="BreakingDeath"] I agree. Why have any morals with that kind of mindset? I'm sure that you will grow up(judging by that post, I'll presume you're still in your early teens), and make an actual, valid judgment. See you then, Toast.BreakingDeath

Sorry that I don't have a black and white view on the world and think killing one life is equivalent to harming advanced life.

Advanced? Don't even get me started. No human life should be just be terminated like that. I'd really like to know how you have any morals, judging by your logic. Shall I remind you? "So what if she's killing life? Countless numbers of life forms die every day." -- So what if a guy kills a room full of people, because not only were they going to die anyway, but there are people dying at that very second. Makes no difference, right?

There is a hierarchy of importance. Humans are at the tops, then animals, then fetuses and embryos, then at the bottom we've got bacteria and viruses.

Interesting pic but I personally think it depends entirely on the situation just like the topic of abortion for women. It can be a terrible choice for them if the situation doesn't support it.

If by insults, you're talking about insults on people's intelligence, I'd say use painkillers. You've clearly got some kind of serious pain in your butt. If you say stupid things, expect a less-than-welcome response. Cause-effect!

For example,Mikey often posts incredibly mind-numbing posts and after deservingly getting insults, he claims that he was "trolling people all along", making it worse for him. It's not just something to be expected, it's something hecan f*cking count on.

I'm talking about insults as a whole. No pain here, how about you? I haven't seen a lot of Mikey's posts, so I wouldn't know. Again, I'm talking about insults as a whole. It seems like every thread on this website (or at least in the Off-Topic forum) include insults, name-calling, etc. How do you guys expect to have mature debates if you're going to insult, bash, or get all **** about it? It's also hilarious that there's practically a religion(bashing) thread every other day. It really shows how insane this community is; discussing the same matter over and over only to reap the same result. Don't you ever get tired of it?

Well, I can see what you mean. A lot of threads end up being about AP but people choose to get their jimmies rustled rather than ignore her. The same goes for majormayor and his alts (though I'll still throw a few lobotomy or parental regret jokes anyway). OT has always attracted a poor breed of human, as well as people who jump on them instead of just letting them die. However, religious threads have always been an issue, which is why I avoid them.

And yes, I DO get tired of this braincell-killing fiasco.

So true. Well, that's the shocking part. Gamespot is full of (seemingly) intelligent people, and it's appalling when they start bashing, insulting, etc - as soon as someone states their opinion that contradicts theirs. Don't get me wrong, there's some brain-dead people on here, but their voices are crushed and silent when it comes to the aforementioned. Ah, I see.

So what if she's killing life? Countless numbers of life forms die every day.

If the father is that upset about her choice he could always leave her and get with someone who does want kids.

toast_burner

That has to be one of the coldest responses I've ever seen. But you know what? You're right.. Thousands of rapes happen everyday too. Why not rape a few more? Same logic.

There is an emotional loss when you lose a child to be, for the father AND the mother, if she isn't a completely callous whore.

That's completely different. When you rape someone you harm a person. Nothing is harmed by abortion.

*facepalm* I think we're done here.

I think the idiotic pro-abortion mindset stems from a general lack of compassion, coupled with the mindset that 2 wrongs make a right, mixed with the belief that somehow destroying a work in progress isn't as bad as destroying a finished product. If I was building a house, was about half done, and you burned it down, haven't you still destroyed a house? The same applies to a fetus that is already in the process of developing, or being "built." It's too late folks, construction is already underway. You kill it, it's the same as killing a full-grown adult.
