To all users who think they have a "good" taste in music.

I have a quick question (with a poll): Which bands would you prefer people NOT to listen to? (Check poll before reading on.)

You picked the first option, probably. If not that, than perhaps the second option?

Regardless, it's clear to see the artists here that are better than the others. >_>

My point here is that I see a lot of people belittle my taste in bands as "trash", "garbage", "wreckage", or many other various insulting names, and I'm quite frankly sick of it. If you think metalcore is trash, that's completely fine, but when you say that to me when I wasn't even trying to talk to you or even say anything remotely inciteful, that's flat out immature and rude. Also, there are far worser bands, like the poll shows, and at least the bands I listen to have far more intelligent lyrics than merely repeating "birthday sex" numerous times.

I'm predicting many of you will say I should have blogged this, but blogs can't have polls, now can they?

I pretty much hate everyone in the first choice, so I'm gonna say that one.

The second choice, most of the artists don't have any talent, but I, a major METALLICA fan, actually like Black Eyed Peas, and Lady Gaga is kinda catchy.

Third choice: I love Disturbed. I actually think they're pretty talented. Slipknot is cool, and the rest are pretty awesome, too.

Fourth choice: The punk genre. Pretty cool, especially the ultra-hot Hayley Williams of Paramore. Punk bands aren't usually that talented, but they send a message.

Fifth choice: Well, I don't really like this kind of music, but most of the bands are pretty talented, though.

Kidding. All you need is thicker skin. The music you enjoy is not made worse by a comment someone makes about it. I admit that Immortal look like an evil version of Kiss, and Abbath's voice sounds like Popeye, but that doesn't take away my love for them.

I hate #4 by far the most. At least number one are horrible but targeted for a much much younger audience, number 4 are the new generation of Nickleback (some from #5 as well)

people can listen to whatever the hell they want as long as i dont have to listen to it... i mean, if i had a choice, tv would be basketball, law and order svu, burn notice, psych and house 24/7... but sometimes i just dont have that choice so... icant choose really, seeing as i dont even know who sings 9/10 of the songs i listen to on the radio or in public.

You should have put the Black Eyed Peas with better people, they are by far my favorite "band". I hate the Disney singers, cant even sing (Jonas Bros. are actually pretty good compaired to others)
