[QUOTE="CrazyyyDylan"]Why did you put Kanye in the second choice? His first album was excellent and Late Registration was also very good. I am gonna go with the 1st optionDazedDarkness
Late Registration was great, that album was so "Avant Garde" that my head rolled on the floor due to the pretentiousness of it all. But great album, College Dropout was hecka great too.

I personally think those two are some the greatest rap albums released this decade.

I listen to rock, and metal, and basically every sub-genre in those two genre's. I can go from listening to a Beetles or Eagles song, right to listening to Cannibal Corpse, or Slayer song, and still be happy. haha, but I'm betting alot of posters here can do that...

I really like Sum 41, Blink-182 and Paramore so I'll go with that. every other band doesn't really interest me on the polly.

I have a quick question (with a poll): Which bands would you prefer people NOT to listen to? (Check poll before reading on.)

You picked the first option, probably. If not that, than perhaps the second option?

Regardless, it's clear to see the artists here that are better than the others. >_>

My point here is that I see a lot of people belittle my taste in bands as "trash", "garbage", "wreckage", or many other various insulting names, and I'm quite frankly sick of it. If you think metalcore is trash, that's completely fine, but when you say that to me when I wasn't even trying to talk to you or even say anything remotely inciteful, that's flat out immature and rude. Also, there are far worser bands, like the poll shows, and at least the bands I listen to have far more intelligent lyrics than merely repeating "birthday sex" numerous times.

I'm predicting many of you will say I should have blogged this, but blogs can't have polls, now can they?

;)

battlefront23

I picked 4.....mainly because I really really hate Angels and Airwaves....they were supporting Foo Fighters one time and I have hated them ever since, they were so bad. Otherwise I would have gone with 1. Then again, 1 is all kiddy music, which isn't really music tbh, so I don't know if it can even be counted. It's not intended for people like me. Ie, post-pubescent testes owners.

It was a tough choice (came down to number 1 or number 2) but I had to choose the Disney crap, there is no way anyone should listen to that ever. Even if you are dying and it can save your life, it just isn't worth it. OK, maybe that's an exaggeration, but you get my point.

I wouldn't ever choose for anyone to stop listening to anything. Music is the universal connector. Even if I really dislike the music, even if I hate what the band/artist stands for, somewhere out there, that band has a fan, a fan who may owe their life to the music. Music helps people through really tough times, and whether it be hannah montana, Stompin' Tom Connors, Kanye, or the clash, it's all still music, and it's all good in my books. I would hate to belittle someone over something as simple as the music they listen to.

terrible poll groupings.. some of those people you shouldn't even be associating with others. Lady Gaga for example.. is a fantastic live performer.. yes, her single is stupid, but that can't be helped.. the record industry deceides that stuff.

I'd prefer people to listen to whatever pleases them, even if we have a difference in opinion in our musical tastes. Why would I want to discourage and stifle someone else's individuality? If anything I'd encourage it. They help the industry, the musicians, and the economy as a whole. They help others who wish to break into the business who have simialr sounds. It also encourages artists and aspiring artist to take their sound in a different direction so they can expand their range of musical styles and reach a broader and different audience.
