To not get moderated, do you need to be a genius?

I am asking for everyone's opinion on this, what do you think it takes to not get modded? Do you think you need to have an IQ of over 150? Do you think you need to have a good connection with the admins of gamespot? Or do you just think that you need excellent reading comprehension skills to understand the ToU in every single interpretation? Do you think we need to somehow raise the lowest age of gamespot users which could allow more acceptable material?

If you want to avoid getting moderated, don't post. I don't see how some active people never get moderated, it makes me dumbfounded.

In all modesty, many people do call me a genius, but I have only been moderated once so far.

I don't have too many posts, but just be careful.

You can joke around, but be sure to leave something pertinent to the conversation.

Oh, having morals helps too. I tend to cringe when I hear people say/sing profanities.

I do pretty well. Either the Mods here have crushes on me or I am so insignificant as to not warrant their attention. And I refuse to believe the last :| .

No... you just need to be unfunny and uninteresting. The problem with the "rules" is that they are so incredibly vague that almost any post could be twisted into being moderatable. The major problem is that so much is left up to "moderator discretion." Nothing is concrete enough (aside from the posting of pornography, illegal activities/content or advertising) to actually be considered a "rule."

1. Know the rules.

2. Address post content not users who posted it.

3. Do not post if you are too agitated to discuss something without being a jerk.

Just those three can take a user a long way without getting moderations here.

To the topic question, No. Actually the contrary is closer to the truth; the more intelligent things you say, the faster you will piss someone off. It's a better bet to submit posts which contain absolutely no new ideas, until eventually they're whittled down to mere reiterations of what has already been said. If you're feeling particularly adventurous, quote someone else and add a mild statement of approval.
