Today, I saw a guy pee, flush, and walk away without washing his hands!

During my break at work today, I was in the bathroom to relieve myself. Another guy, who was a butcher (I work in a grocery store), stepped into the stall next to me. He flushed, and I was shocked to see him walk out of there without washing his hands! Didn't he read the sign? "All employees must wash their hands before returning to work."

Now, I am not to report him or anything, but I don't plan to buy any meat from that store for then next couple of days. I mean, he was a butcher! Aren't people supposed to civilized and wash their hands before returning to work? Especially when they are preparing meat?

Granted, urine is generally clean, but still!

Now to be fair, they have sinks where they work and he probably washed it there, but I agree.

If you cook the meat it dosn't matter at all. And for those who are grossed out just by the psychological aspect, what you don't know can't hurt you.

That saying doesn't apply here since it actually can and will hurt the consumer... If you get pricked by an AIDs infected needle and don't know it, you still get AIDs...

If you work with chemicals washing before is more important. If you work at an industrial plant then you may end up with you cock melting and dripping down your leg. Also swab experiments have been done and people's hands are far dirtier than their nads.

Me and a few buddies were in Vegas a few years ago. Johnny Chan (poker player) took a leak next to one of us in a Bellagio bathroom, and walked out without washing his hands. Next day, at the Rio where the WSOP was going on, same buddy runs into the very same Mr. Chan, chats for a bit, then by way of goodbye Johnny Chan sticks out his hand for a shake. Buddy shook it, what r u gonna do? But pretty nasty.

There's also a sink in every meat department where the employees must wash thier hands after entering. He could have washed his hands in the department.

How will it hurt the consumer? Are diseases transmitted by pee?

In general I'm just not a germ freak and if something poses no potential harm to my health I will not go out of my way to avoid it. Granted, if I had a choice between two butchers (same pricing and right accross the street from each other) I would go to the other one, butI will not inconvinience myself solely to put my mind at ease.

I think you're forgetting that by eating something like pork you're eating part of an animal that was most likely covered in its own excrement.

I never understand what is so ******* difficult about washing your hands after using the restroom.

I would like to think that in modern society with how convenient it is to wash your hands and with all the knowledge we have about germs, that people would just take that minute to wash their damn hands.

As someone who was raised by a nurse and currently works in healthcare, I cannot in any way grasp this mindset of not taking hygiene seriously...

Occasionally I used to work with microorganisms, as well as chemicals, so I can agree with this from firsthand experience.

Edit: I meant the handwashing part, not the man-part melting.

Who cares? What about people who practice general hygiene? I see people go to the toilet and not wash their hands quite a lot, they then end up putting their hands on door handles, using the keyboard/mouse...etc..etc. It's disgusting and it's completely rude.
