Trying to become straight.

Okay, this is a really weird topic, but here's my issue. I'm gay and have been this way all my life. I'm 22 now. However, I really wish I was straight, cuz life could be easier and I could get married and have kids, etc. Does anyone know how I can become attracted to girls and not guys? I've tried looking at straight porn, but I end up focusing on the guy or subconciously thinking about the guys. Looking at the hottest girls does nothing for me, but hot guys get me excited.

Help me become straight, because I dont want to be gay I mean, I've accepted it and I can be happy this way, but I feel that I'm missing out on a normal lifestyle. Any suggestions?

I take full responsibility to be completely devoted to my wife, which means being attracted to her and nobody else.  NOBODY!  If she ever becomes disfigured through a car accident or something else, that doesn't change anything.  Our concept of attraction can be changed, but it takes the sincere desire to change.

Who are you to tell someone who claims to have changed that they actually haven't changed?  I'm sure there are some people who have lied about it, but I believe that some are sincere.  Personally, I have learned to control my attractions for the most part.  I also taught myself not to like chocolate for a while.  Naturally, you probably won't believe me since I may not have complete control or I only didn't like chocolate for a while.  But, since you don't know me and you don't know these men who claim to have been gay and now are straight, you have no proof against any of it.  You are just arogant enough to think you understand everything already.

Stopping yourself from looking is only the beginning of controling attraction.  It is futile to think that merely not looking will change anything if your thoughts don't also change.  Do you not believe that the brain is capable of changing and thinking in different ways?

I am talking about attraction.  It is something that I did struggle with for about the first 6 years of the relationship, but once I realized that I could define to what I was attracted, all that changed.  Seriously, look at how models have changed through the decades.  Eskimos supposedly like their women heavy.  Society tells you what to like, but you are not constrained to that.

Theoretically, yes.  I don't think I would just set out to do that, but if I met one first and got into a relationship with her, then that would be my new standard for attraction.
