Well if America had Canada, they would certainly have had a whole lot more people to send into Korea, Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan to fight communists and terrorists.

Honestly I could care less about Canada and I assume most Americans feel the same too. They only have like 5 great cities, the majority of it is just nothing. The US has a city with 500K plus people and different cultures in almost every state. Also its freekin cold there. Most of Canada is a carbon copy of the worst states in the US. Cold and barren.

Toronto however is one of the best cities in the entire world.

i have to agree with u. most of the country are open land and very few big citys.

i know a girl i talk to and she lives in the middle of no where.

the town is so small that mostly everyone knows every body and knows what happens to one family.

she told me the nearest towns and citys are about 20miles+ away.

Canada has really no real value but for mining or and commodities.

but in the filp side if the US do take over the Canada we will gain alot more land to build new citys or send people ( like pedos) to the middle of no where to live.

but in the same time that will cost us more tax money to just maintain the states.

But we already have too much damn land.
Ok imma name off states and don't get offended.

Lets just let canada have those states, cause they seriously suck. No offense to anyone who lives in those states, but the cold hard fact is, your state sucks.

Fighting Canada would have meant fighting England. Canada is England's biotch and if someone messes with them England would have to throw down.

God save the queen!! (Canada still recognizes the authority of the queen, right?)

Not much longer probably when the Queen dies we'll cut ties with them

That's awesome. You Canadians will love independence.

After reading this thread I have lost a little faith in humanity. @Pariahdox Canada does in fact have Skyscrapers, and mountain ranges, and oh yeah the most surprising thing about Canada, we have beaches too! Zella24

Yeah, but you only have a few big cities, we have over 100 of them all with there own unique culture and style, we have 2 major mountain ranges, and your beaches are few and far inbetween and just plain suck. Why do you think ppl from NY visit FL and go to the beach? NY has beaches too, but they just plain suck, like Canadas beaches. What I'm saying is everything and anything fun or entertaining Canada has, we have times 10, so why would we care about Canada at all? Ive been to both Canada and Mexico and I liked Mexico more actually.

You are more ignorant than the majority of posters on this board. Ohio is like one of the most influential states in the union. It's either sprawling metropolises or farmland as far as the eye can see. I assure you all of our beautiful land is in use.

Stop being such a typical American, usually swearing off other nations (in this case you are insulting your own brothers). Just stop.

Ohio sucks for so many reasons I would need the next 2 pages to explain all of it. If you are from Ohio you would not understand most of the reasons why it sucks so much.

Korea was a draw too, china was the tipping point. And the Terrain was not really friendly to tanks so that took away the US's armour advantage.

Meh nobody wants Canada anyway...XD4NTESINF3RNOX

A country of 33 million people have a dollar on par with a country 10x it's population. Canada's "recession" was only a result of the American recession. And ours ended in a couple of months officially announced by Prime Minister Harper. Canada's booming.

But the point is the United States would never want to take over Canada (if the United Nations did not exist) because it would not benefit the U.S economically. Americans need trade with Canada, Canadians need trade with the U.S. We're actually very dependent on each other.

Yeah, ive heared of Cleveland. Has some of the worst poverty, urban decay, and social issues of any country in the US, also a pretty racial city, and its freekin cold in the winter, also there football team is one of the worst in the history of football. I know quite a few people from Cleveland, and if I were to judge there hometown stricktly based off who they are you would not want to hear what I have to say.

I could argue more points but I just really want to point out the stupidity in this. You really think Canada's beaches are few and far between, what about our coasts, and the great lakes and Lake Winnipeg, plus the many large rivers, etc. I just can't believe you are using beaches as a reason why the U.S. is better.

There's your first mistake. You don't honestly believe that you're being told the whole truth in the classes you're taking do you? I didn't learn about American history until I started doing my own research, and not just reading what I was told to read. For instance - did you know that there were black plantation owners - who owned slaves? I bet they censored that out of your classes too.

Also, Hitler was inspired by the US and the eugenics. You learn some pretty interesting stuff if you look around. :P

HERE'S WHY:

Im not sure if this post is serious, but if it is it exhibits some blatant hypocrisy. BTW, Im from the midwest (Missouri). I really dont understand why there is any animosity toward any state...I also hate the term "real america". All america is real america.

The best weed? Are you insane? Ohio weed is garbage. Where I live we get stuff with white hairs for the same price you get mid, I know because people I know from Ohio get ripped off down here and have never seen or had the weed we have before. We pay $40 for the same oz you pay $100 for, and the strains we have you guys don't even know exist without google search. As for character... Racism, and white wannabe gangstas, I guess thats character, that explains the character of most people ive met from there.

In the US we have palm trees, skyscrapers, beaches, multiple mountain ranges, the grand canyon, and places where its 75 degrees in christmas, and every single culture and race in the entire world. Can canada say any of that? No, they just have good weed, but so do we, especially in states where there medicinal MJ.

Toronto however is one of the best cities in the entire world.

Pariahdox

1. You are correct, a lot of the land in Canada is not populated but it is used for natural resources.

2. The U.S has a city with 500k? There are cities in the U.S with easily over 2 million people. Canada has that too. Vancouver, Toronto, Montreal, Quebec City are just to name a few.

3. United States in any social studies or history ****is referred to as a "Melting Pot". Where Americans stress being "American". Fair enough. In Canada we're referred to as a "Cultural Mosaic" where preserving your own culture alongside Canadian culture is stressed. By those definitions alone, we're just as, if not more diverse than the U.S. Both are very diverse countries.

4. Vancouver alone is a clone of New York in terms of skyscrapers. In fact most movies that claim to be in New York are filmed in Vancouver. Didn't know that...eh?

5. We naturally the most beautiful country on Earth. Did you even watch the Olympics? NBC said that about BC and Canada in general being known for the natural landscape.

6. We have stellar beaches, of course the California and Florida coastlines are definitely more amazing.

7. Not every city in the U.S is 75 degrees during Christmas. In fact, very few actually are. You're going to tick off a bunch of New Yorkers.

8. *sigh* Snoop Dogg has said it that "BC Bud" is the finest weed. Not that we should be arguing about the taste of drugs.

9. 8/10 winters it DOES NOT SNOW in Vancouver. It's actually not that cold. In fact it's warmer than most Northern and Eastern U.S cities at the least.

10. Do your hmwk son.

I didnt' know when guns are firing and people STILL are dying that democracy was being implemented. Troops are still being deployed for god's sakes. I am not ignorant, I'm well aware of the goal the US is trying to accomplish. But unfortunately, the fight isn't over. So by definition, they're still at war.

[QUOTE="wolverine4262"]Im not sure if this post is serious, but if it is it exhibits some blatant hypocrisy. BTW, Im from the midwest (Missouri). I really dont understand why there is any animosity toward any state...I also hate the term "real america". All america is real america.

wolverine4262

No only the Southwest, deep south and midwest is real America. :P

Its sad that people actually believe this kind of thing though. "Oh, New Yorkers dont represent Real America." Its just idiotic...

While it's true that all states are American, certain parts of the country are very true to the classic image of the country. Mainly the areas I stated.

Well I think Real America is any state or district that voted either for FDR or Barack Obama, myself.

Toronto however is one of the best cities in the entire world.

sonic_spark

The US has 9 cities with over a million people, 35 with over 500K, and over 100 with over 100K. This is not including metropolitan areas, just the city centers.
I didn't say every state in the US is warm in the winter, but we have options, you don't. If I want to see snow I drive for a couple hours, if I want to tan on the beach and sip lemonaide, I drive for a couple hours.
As for snoop saying BC has the best weed, I don't agree, I will agree Canada has great weed, but so do we, especially in states where they have medicinal marijuana.

OK THATS IT

OHIO IS THE BEST

HERE'S WHY:

You other states may have your pretty beaches and sprawling cities... but midwest has something even better.... character... It's a completely different culture, one of HONESTY and HARD WORK. Seriously, I don't understand why people look at America in sections, we are a single unified nation.

Plus, we get the best weed. ITS A FACT!

Pariahdox

The best weed? Are you insane? Ohio weed is garbage. Where I live we get stuff with white hairs for the same price you get mid, I know because people I know from Ohio get ripped off down here and have never seen or had the weed we have before. We pay $40 for the same oz you pay $100 for, and the strains we have you guys don't even know exist without google search. As for character... Racism, and white wannabe gangstas, I guess thats character, that explains the character of most people ive met from there.

You do not understand the meaning of white hairs, my man. Until you start f***in with the home grown farmer grass you ain't seen s***. Don't even start this argument. Our funk consistently wins out the CANNABIS CUP.

Boom boom, pow. Away.

Anyways theres a bunch of really funny stories of "battles" in the war of 1812, one was the US went to take a town and th local garrison took the train to the next town. So the US soldiers didn't want to walk alway the way to the next town get the train and went back across the border! LOL...... Theres really funny storys on both sides.lordreaven

Cool story, but...

...were there any railroad lines in North America in 1812?

1. Your populations numbers are all wrong.

2. We do have options. Believe it or not, and I'll speak for BC because I'm from there, the interior of the Province is a desert. You know a desert? Looks exactly like the desert you'd see if you were driving in the middle of nowhere in California?

3. I'm not going to get into an argument about drugs. I know really nothing about it, and you CLEARLY do.

4. You can't possibly drive for a "couple of hours" from a city that is in a blizzard to a beach that is near 80degrees. It takes days of driving. You can't even drive from Seattle to San Diego in a couple of hours. And the temperature is only so different. If you're going from New York down to Florida GOOD LUCK.
