[QUOTE="remmbermytitans"]why are you a veggie? cause you want to live longer or cause you Engrish_Major
Many reasons. Eliminating or reducing red meat in the diet is healthy, and I did not like the fact that an animal had to die for almost every meal I ate. (I would not eat my cats, for example). Also, the energy cycle that exists to produce beef for consumption is greatly inneficient and harmful to the environment.
BTW, I eat fish occasionally, because it is very healthy, and fish are at the bottom of the 'conciousness level'.
I do not want anyone to take offense to this, I am merely answering a question, and it was a personal decision. I do not force this upon anyone else. But I am always up for a good debate!
hmm... I think that being at the top of the food chain entitles us to eat, whatever animal we please, however, should an animal near extinction, then I can understand not eating them. Also, anything in moderation is a good thing, so I dont see any harm in eating a burger or steak once a week.( I believe that the misconception of meat being bad for you came from those people that would eat McDonald's for breakfast, lunch AND dinner.) And if you ask me, fish may be worse for you in the long run, assuming you eat the "wrong fish" (the ones carrying mercury)...
My sister is a veggie, and I've dated someone who was a veggie, so I respect veggies, though i might not agree with them :)
