Walking in on Your Roommate And His Girlfriend

Hey, let's say that when you return to your room and open the door, the lights are off. Then, after you turn on your display and the room becomes illuminated, you notice that your roommate and his GF are under the sheets on top of one another. What would be the appropriate thing to do? Should you leave, even if you have nowhere else to go? What if neither of them say anything and simply roll off of one another and lie down as if they weren't doing anything? This has happened about two times this week; I walked in on my roommate and his GF. However, as selfish as this sounds, I didn't leave and actually began playing Crysis and didn't stop until about 2:00 AM. I figured if he hasn't said anything, then I don't have to make any accommodations for him or his GF. What would you have done? I'm thinking of telling him that if he wants some privacy for him and his GF, he could tell me in advance. However, more than likely I'll never do that.

Some of you seem to be under the impression that my roommate and his GF continue with their actions when I enter the room. They actually stop doing it when I enter. On one of the two occasions, the girl left.

i would lol then slide in bed with them.

Had this happen a few times when I was in the Air Force. Asked my room-mate to be scarce for a couple of hours when I needed some alone time with a girl.

I did the same for him, so it worked out.

Well, actually he and I are in college. We're living at a campus apartment. So, there's really no way for him to get a private room unless he moves off of campus.

Assuming theirs two beds and thats not mine, say " I'm not doing the laudry for your bed and you better have a condom." Then throw a condom next to him and leave. Its what i would want someone to do.

well one time i caught my roomate Sean on top of my ex-boyfriend Fred... but it sounds like your situation is alot different. If i were you if i saw that I would walk out and let them do their business for about half an hour because i can almost guarantee you that he is hating you when you stay. because that could be considered a total block of action if ya know what i mean. But if your not that close with your roomate then who cares haha..FruityRudy

I'd probably leave. Although I can undestand not and doing what you did, after all you're paying rent also, he should've went some where else like a hotel for a night.

I'm just wondering, how'd you know that I'm in college? Was it an assumption?

It would be an awkward moment for sure... But I would most definitely leave.

We're in a two bedroom campus-apartment. There are two people in each room.

That must've been pretty awkward, just sitting down and playing, while they were trying to get it on. I would've left. But, seriously, you should talk to your roommate about that, there's no way around it. Maybe you could get into an agreement where they stop for five seconds when you come in, you get your headphones in, go to Crysis and they do their business, and then everyone's happy :)
