The wiki article doesnt make any distinction between "movie" and "film".Since you apparently couldn't, I googled "difference between movie film" and came up with pages of definitions that confirm I'm not the only one using these definitions; most Americans that know anything about cinema also use these terms. Since I'm so nice, I'll even post a few.

The wiki.answers page just mentions that the words can be used with these connotations (something which I didnt refute) and that they are for the most part interchangeable; not that the words have predominantly different uses.
The blog from the NLB cites some professional sources which are bound to be more technical with their terms. That though doesnt reflect the use of those two words by the ...common folk, if you will.
And the last link is one person's take on the matter. Good for him - but I dont see how that establishes any necessary distinction between the two terms.
[QUOTE="xaos"]Why exactly is it we need a new term?QuebecSuperstar
We don't. But you know, just for fun......
Gah, I hate fun :xvirtual interactive television,or televised,or simply TOUCH.
VIT,
yes you know why virtual comes in,and it is also interactive too,
but the term television i used here because no adays it is only played on TV,or Tv based designs such as monitor or LED or etc,
touch is also usable ,you are connected to that virtual world using a touch or either pads and buttons or motions detectives.
you get the picture:)
Hey that's perfect!I knew it![QUOTE="-Fromage-"][QUOTE="Dylan_11"]How about video games?Dylan_11
