Not in the country side. Very classic. Even big cities I feel retain their "self" even if there are McDonald's everywhere.

I was referring to the culture shift. And it wasn't McDonalds.

I love to learn about Europe. I think one of the biggest downers, for me, is a lack of history in the US. I'm especially infatuated with England, and want to buy a small house in London when the kids are gone and spend a few months per year there. I think Europeans are just like everyone else, most are good people, some are bad.

Yes, I've looked into it, and being from Arkansas, housing prices there are unreal. But we both want to, and if things go right we should be able to, but who knows, I might wake up dead tomorrow. Of course then my wife could buy the house. :)

The only thing that I wonder or think about Europe is, ....

Is it really in control of America? or rather.... Is USA really a 'Crown Colony' of the Royal Monarch?

This is what I have gathered from living in the United States:

- It is hard to find someone who likes France, Americans have never been fans of the French.

Many Europeans seem to have an inferiority complex. They are real defensive and talk a lot of **** about us here in America.. but they don't do ****.

Some ******* talked **** while me and my boys were in London and we busted them up and my boy knocked one guy out cold and those cowards took off running. They ran their mouth, then they took off running.

The black guys in London thought they were hardasses, and it made me laugh. The food in London wasn't all that good.

I have a friend here and she is from Brighton I think? I have a guy friend here from South London.. he's one of the best basketball players to come out of London and he's going to be playing in college here. And I know another guy from somewhere in London here. They are all nice.

Nah, really? No **** Sherlock.

one of the world's seven continents. is the world's second-smallest continent by surface area, covering about 2% of the Earth's surface and about 6.8% of its land area.

Well, technically America isn't a country either.

When people say America they mean the United States. Never have I ever seen a person call Canada America, or Mexico.. etc etc..

Italy and France mainly.

Places like Lacoste, Dolce & Gabanna and Armani. The real ones, not the Americanized places meant for little kids.

Well the majority of the people in Europe can't really afford it on a regular basis. Monaco was a beautiful sight for a day but that ain't all of Europe. I wish though:D

I've never been to Europe so I can't really give an opinion from experience. But I do think Europe is pretty cool and I would hopefully be able to travel there some day.

Please stop going on about this, you have no proof of this.. Even what Obama has said is not straight socialism, if you think it is you clealry don't know what socialism is. Furthermore by actions McCain was as much a socialist as Obama, by signing for the REPUBLICAN CRAFTED bill that was the largest socialist bill ever to produce, that nationalized the banks with a $700 billion bill.

You don't have to agree with complete nationalization of every aspect of the economy to be a socialist. Socialism is a very broad term.

Then we have been a socialism for a long time.. We are mixed economy and will still be a mixed eocnomy even with Obama at the helm, Obama not once has said he believes in a socialistic government.

And you said I am a McCain supporter= Republican?

Also, Obama wants to do a lil something called income redistribution buddy. That is socialism, and I agree with you that the BAILOUT bill was socialism.

Duh, if he said that then he probably wouldn't have as much votes. It's just like George Bush saying that Iraq didn't have WMDs. He knows that but he aint telling us. Same thing goes to Obama when it comes to socialism.

Messiah Obama? This isn't to say the man is correct in eveyrthing he does, but to suggest he is a straight line socialist is reidculous. You have no evidence what so ever.. Spread the wealth? What policies can you pin this too? A minscule tax reduction and tax increase? If you honeslty think this is considered spreading the wealth you have no clue what your talking about. It certainly seems like it when your falling with the rhetoric claiming he is a complete socialist, basing this off of the smallest pieces of rhetoric as possible.. Now if he starts becoming more extreme in his views and starts trying to push forward a socialist agenda, then yes I will agree with you.. But he has not done that as of yet.

No crap he hasn't done any of that. On count of two terms: He isn't experienced and he isn't President of the United States of America yet.

I dont think Europeans are very friendly or have a sense of humor. They seem arrogant and generally rude. I would be afraid to live in many European countries....the poverty, the joblessness, the food, the water, cost of gas, the cost of everything in general, the laws, the muslim invasion, the youth seem particularly violent, the soccer obsession, the televison. I think the countryside is very pretty though.

Yeah, that's the word I was looking for. They are arrogant. Kind of stuck up. Think they are better.

The rest of your post I'm not so sure about though.

I think the countryside is very pretty though.Videodogg
There's nothing wrong about that...after all football(soccer) is a passion.

I don't really think about it a whole lot, but don't those places still have knights and peasants, kings and queens... etc?

I think that they feel like no matter what we Americans do, we'll always be inferior and stupid. They're very impressionable and easily persuaded into believing that we're all a bunch of morons.

Everyone is stupid

I know some English citizens, they're nice people. I don't know what I think of Europe. They don't seem all that different from people here, atleast the people I know/ talked to. They have different views on stuff than I do, but that is to be expected when you grow up in two different places.

I'd like to visit sometime, get to see the sights, get to know the people more.

And thanks for continuing the bad stereotype of Americans... :|

He was just keeping up the proud American/Aussie/British tradition of kicking eachother's asses in drunken brawls...I salute him for his efforts.

...My friend had a French foreign exchange student stay over his house for awhile Junior year of highschool...she (The french girl was assigned to his little sister who was a freshman) was surprised that we knew any European geography at all...she honestly thought we couldn't point out France on a map.

I've spent so much time pouring over WW2 maps that I see the map of Europe in its 1939 condition. I usually forget that Macedonia is currently a country rather than a Classical Era Kingdom. Also Poland's size confounds me at times. Moldavia is news to me. And I still call it Czechoslovakia instead of separating the two. Damn modern maps.

My class had a French foreign exchange student come for the year. In Chemistry, as well as a few other classes, there was a running joke where we'd all shout 'Mericaaaaa!!! pretty much randomly. At one point the girl had a breakdown and yelled, "All Americans do is say America and F***," everyone laughed and eventually she was agreeable again. Anyway, back to the point, based only on her, Europeans are nice people.

This is what I have gathered from living in the United States:

- Thinks that England is like the US, hold favorable opinions about the country. Does not know the difference between England, Britian, and the UK.

- It is hard to find someone who likes France, Americans have never been fans of the French.

- Enjoys making Nazi jokes about Germany.

- Is completely oblivious about any other European country.

You cant compare America to Europe or have an opinion of Europe as a whole. Europe has way too many different cultures and countries while America is just one culture. Or one big mix of them anyway.
