A person deserves to treat themselves out once in a while eh?Vilot_Hero
There is treating yourself, and going overboard.
I wouldn't call this treating yourself.

17....I worked almost everyday for 6 hours(Sometimes more) since I was 13. I also sold stuff to friends and saved christmas money and such. $67,000 might be a bit too much, but I know It's in the low 50's point. I actually got paid $16.00/h during a few summers. How old are you? The fact that you have $67,000 dollars makes me assume you're a bit older, yet you haven't even acquired your desired career yet which makes me wonder how you accumulated that much money.
But in my advice, it's a waste of money. Yes it's a nice car, but the fact is, it's just a car. It's a tool to get you from point A to point B and I don't see the point in spending all that money on a car. If you're going to lay down money for a nice car, I would go for a car like a BMW as a previous poster mentioned because it's classy yet also comfortable.

[QUOTE="gasmaskman"][QUOTE="Vilot_Hero"][QUOTE="II-FBIsniper-II"]The Viper looks cooler with green Metallic paint, and what Is a BMW?I'd much rather get a BMW or something along those lines than a viper.
I don't like what the neww models look like at all.
Vilot_Hero
Please tell me you know what a BMW is.
I have no clue:PGo for a Mercedes Benz C63 AMG...fast, lots of hp, decent gas mileage, sounds GREAT (all muscle car on the inside), and luxurious on top of that...doesnt look half bad either

[QUOTE="supermechakirby"]personally I would be a $50,000 AUdi S5. would be 50 times better....I love that car so much.
II-FBIsniper-II
i second that...
but what i would do is if you really want a fun car now get a Mitsubish Evo IX or X. only about 35-40 grand, all wheel drive, good gas mileage
[QUOTE="chester706"][QUOTE="Montaya"]Heres a tip, dont buy a car that will cost the everage persons annual income. It will cost you 30,000$ a year to maintain and gas up. Vipers require high octane gas which is expensive compared to standard octane.Luncbox1Ya sport cars are a **** to maintain. My dad (works for GM so he knows cars) sold his 2005 V because of how hard it was to maintain. He had to change the tires 4 times a year!!!!! the gas wasnt too good either. Seriously I would not reccomend this plan. yeah. Bikes are where it's at.
lol if you have a deathwish
While by all means the viper is a very nice car, and has monster performance, it would simply not be smart to puchase one in your situation. Why buy a car that you won't be able to enjoy for twenty five years...Also, it is not a very practical car, and as others have mentioned, it is very hard to mantain. If i were personally in your situation I would buy a car that still has performance and is easier to mantain, especially if it is going to be sitting in your driveway. Then, after you go through your career, get the car that you have always wanted, considering you will much more time to mantain it.
Personally, if I were in your situation I would probably invest, save, or spend the money on a down payment on a house. But, if you really want to spoil yourself on a car right now, get something a bit more reliable and easier to mantain. If you really want performance, I would consider the BMW M3 or a Porsche 911.
Anyway good luck on your final decision.

first ive got to say its impressive that youve earned that much money
second dont buy a car, espically since you dont know all that it out there (you dont know what bmw is???????!!!!! google it now)
third id save that money, throw it in cd's or low risk mutual funds or go to a finacal planner
but mainly more research on your part before buying a car, i would suggest something in the 40gs range, bmw z4, lotus, there are some more nice cars in that range but i cant think of anything, and if i was going to buy an expensive car i would go all the way and get a db9 or gt2 or f430 and if you dont know what those are,you need to think about this more
note w/ vipers exhaust is by the doors and i believe some people have been burned (not majorly) by it
hell who knows. in 25 years cars like the viper may be outlawed do to the horrible fuel economyFUBAR24
thats going to be a sad day, im moving some where else when that happens

So you have that insane amount of money, you're almost an adult... Has it not occured to you once that maybe you should try to get a better education with that money, get a sports car later, than get one now, not even use it, and spend a large chunk of your life in the military?
Hey, that car that you want is really nice! But I prefer corvettes, kind of like the 78' ones. Ford and Toyota TRUCKS are my favorites, I plan to get an F-250
yeah what is a BMW, is it some kind of underground car or some forgien thing? Because I don't know what it is either. I've never seen one. I think you guys just made up a car to trick us!!!!!11!!1cool_ballerhmm. I think at one point I was told that they were a Ford model. I don't know about you, but my dream car is a 2008 Ford BMW

Get a motorcycle, something tasteful, not a frickin' crotch rocket, those things suck, get a chopper, something like this.
Okay. I'll get on my Kawasaki ZX12 and you can get on your chopper. We'll race a 1/4 mile, you get 1/8 mile head start. We'll see who wins :PGet a motorcycle, something tasteful, not a frickin' crotch rocket, those things suck, get a chopper, something like this.

choppers are for old men going through a midlife crisis who dont feel like having to meet with death everyday. and a lot of choppers dont get the kinda fuel mileage that a crotch rocket does. plus choppers are usually a lot more expensive considering the fact that they are almost always custom made

I have $67,000 saved in my savings account right now. I plan on being a cook for the CAF(Canadian armed Forces)and stay in that career for 25-30 years. I would have a great pension and a ton of money by then.

Its not that a 17 year old cant handle the car... its just that they are more likely to push the car to the limits and race than any other.
This is why insurance is so expensive for anyone under the age of 20...
My Pontiac is considerd a sports car and I'm considered dangerous to everyone on the road because of its name and the fact that I'm 18. Just know that you will be kicked in the ass by insurance if u get this viper....will cost over 400 a month for isnurance.

Ya but you gotta be carefully.. My friend had a Camaro and he added a 383 engine in it and it added over 200 HP with the engine + other mods.
After he got that all done , 2 days later he was hit by a drunk.... despite the fact it wasn't his fault the insurance and police found out he had illegal street racing parts in his car.
Thus not only his engine was destroyed but his car was also....
