[QUOTE="Luncbox1"][QUOTE="chester706"][QUOTE="Montaya"]Heres a tip, dont buy a car that will cost the everage persons annual income. It will cost you 30,000$ a year to maintain and gas up. Vipers require high octane gas which is expensive compared to standard octane.Akm4everz

Ya sport cars are a **** to maintain. My dad (works for GM so he knows cars) sold his 2005 V because of how hard it was to maintain. He had to change the tires 4 times a year!!!!! the gas wasnt too good either. Seriously I would not reccomend this plan.

yeah. Bikes are where it's at.

lol if you have a deathwish

If you drive them like an idiot, then yeah. But it's the idiots that die on the bikes. Not the ones who know what they're doing.

a 17 year old who wants a viper=bad idea. a 17 year old who wants a viper but settles for a crotch rocket and isn't responsible enough to drive it properly =suicide

Fix'd

I would suggest you learn a little more about cars before you decide on what you want to spend all your money on. How the hell do you not know what a BMW is? Oh and btw 17 year old can handle fast cars just fine. I'm only 17 and I have driven many fast cars very hard and I know how to handle it....

Its not that a 17 year old cant handle the car... its just that they are more likely to push the car to the limits and race than any other.

This is why insurance is so expensive for anyone under the age of 20...

My Pontiac is considerd a sports car and I'm considered dangerous to everyone on the road because of its name and the fact that I'm 18. Just know that you will be kicked in the ass by insurance if u get this viper....will cost over 400 a month for isnurance.

oh no a 17 year old with a viper would probably be round 3-5 grand a month maybe more

There are many better sport cars then this.

If you have money choose the best, but if you are so passionate about this car then that is another story

Biggest waste of money. Ever.

If you were 30 and had a good career with a steady income of money, yeah, whatever you want. But 17 with plans on joining the army for 25 years? Seriously? What are you thinking?

Insurance is so expensive for anyone under the age of 20 because people under the age of 20 are a bigger risk to insurance companies as proven by their statistics. If people under the age of 20 were not costing insurance companies as much as they do, then insurance companies wouldn't be charging as much to protect their vehicles. Too many teens do stupid things with motor vehicles, often with that "I can handle it, because I'm a better, more mature driver than all those other guys who got in accidents" notion. Then you make one mistake doing something stupid, and your fancy, expensive car is totaled. And maybe you're totaled too. That's expensive to fix.

That's not to say older people don't do stupid things to. But their stupid decisions don't cost insurance companies as much money. If they did, then they'd be paying just as much as teens do.

Really, I don't understand why so many young people fail to realize that cars really are dangerous, and that doing stupid things in them is.... well, stupid. And I really have something against people who drive like idiots in their youth, because if it weren't for them, people who didn't drive like idiots in their youth - which I would imagine is actually the majority - wouldn't have to pay so much on insurance. When you get right down to it, a lot of good drivers end up paying for the idiocy of a small minority that CHOOSES to be stupid behind the wheel.
