Being pro athlete in any sport is physically demanding but what sport do you think demands the most? Explain (and you better explain well if you gonna say soccer(football) cause i think its one of the least)

Id say pro fighting take the most out of a person. i say so because its the only sport that really demands every aspect that sports ask for: skill, strenght, speed, agility, stamina, endurance and mental toughness.

Edit: Dont ask me why i put track & field on the poll:? tryed to edit and put something like hockey but someone was too quick

Maybe boxing? Their careers are usually extremely short, and they had to have suffered some brain damage after being hit in the head so many times.

I'm not so sure about charisma but "soccer" demands all of those.

I'd say a tie between American Football/Rugby and Fighting sports. Put those guys in any of the other sports and they'll just suck at the worst. Put (Football)Soccer, Track&Field, Basketball, etc into American Football/Rugby or a Fighting Sport, and they'll be sent to the hospital.

I'm not so sure about charisma but "soccer" demands all of those.

 i dont know why i put charisma, meant stamina. anyway, soccer doesn't require all those things. i can definitely see skill, speed, agility and "stamina" but the rest seem non-existent in the sport. where does strength come into play in such a non-physical sport? endurance too. im not talking like running for a long time endurance cause that would be what i meant in stamina. im talking about the endurance fighters having taking punch and punch and being able to continue the fight. lastly toughness isnt really there either. the way ive seen soccer player drop and cry after taking a hit can be ridiculous. toughness is in a sport like american football where you have the mental ability to go head on with a guy twice your size without thinking twice.

Rugby or Hockey/ Rugby because you don't have any pads, hockey because they skate faster than anyone can run (like 1.5 times faster usually than the world record sprint), then run each other into walls, and I think it would be more physically demanding than most other sports.

Then you haven't seen much "soccer", strength -- of course you need it or how else are you going to score from long distance? and I've also seen cases in which your definition of endurance has been used in "soccer", please you don't need to be tough to play "soccer"? you know not every "soccer" player drops and cries after taking a hit like Cristiano Ronaldo.

Yeah, soccer players do more. than I would say basketball and hockey, then rugby, football last. And I feel though it is a sport, comparing fighting to those is apples and oranges.

Is there really any debate? Hockey players play as many games as basketball players, play as physical as football players, and have changing-on-the-fly player rotations so they need a higher stamina than soccer players. and they play through more injuries than any other sports player

He was also an all-state wide receiver coming out of high school and was recruited to play WR at Ohio State. I dunno see how any 6'0 cornerback could stop 6'8'' 260 lb Lebron James lol...

short clip of Lebron playing football in high school

Allen Iverson was also a big time QB coming out of high school. He's from Newport News and was supposedly as good as Michael Vick and Aaron Brooks who both came from the same area...

I'd say wrestling is the 2nd most behind boxing. Boxing I'd say is the most demanding and it's really not even close in my opinion...

This. Hockey, because I can't skate and I don't know how i'd go doing it for long periods of time. That and you can get WTFowned into a wall. Soccer, because having played it seriously, 45 minutes in a row of running, turning, anticipating etc, it sucks the crap outta ya. Its NOT like American football, or other football where there is constant interchange and stops. Most players play the full 90 minutes.

its hard to say any sport is more difficult to do at an elite level than another. because the top pros in almost all sports put hours upon hours of training into their respective sports.

but i feel boxing andamerican football are the most physically taxing. with american football it depends on the position. RB's have some of the shortest average careers only lasting 4 to 5 years. due to what there bodies r put through.

Definitely fighting. I was an amatuer boxer for 6 years. I also did track and field and cross country on the side to get into shape. Think about how tired you feel after you haul ass during the mile race. Thats what it feels like after one round in the ring.

Mixed martial arts. There are so many disciplines you have to train in from muay thai, boxing, jiu jitsu, wrestling, takedown defense, etc. Then you have to train in cardio. mixed martial artists are easily the most well conditioned and skilled athletes on the planet, bar none.
