What height would you consider a guy short?

I've heard some people say that they think anything under 6 feet is short for a guy.

What do you think?

Anything shorter than 6'2.

depends what country u are in. people really need to stop worrying about their height though, ive seen many really fit girls with average/short guys. height dont mean shit

I would consider short someone below 170cm.

Ummm people below 5.5 i find short, 5.5 -5.9 average, 6 onwards tall.

Yup, I'm 6 feet and back in Portugal I was huge compared to the average guy...think I only met 4 or 5 guys taller than me in the 26 years I've lived there. Here in the Netherlands I'm short...your average guy here is 6'3+...I'm basically of the same height as women or men from the previous generation (50+ yo).

god damn!! really tall people in holland, apparently back in 1980 holland was amongst the shortest average height but as the average people began to become more wealthy and started eating more healthy the average heigh shot up and now it is the no.1.

@ghostwarrior786: Yep, it's like a savanna here...giraffes all around. It's not uncommon to see guys over 6'7...I wouldn't want to be that tall though...after a certain height (and if you don't have the muscle mass for it) you start looking really strange and clumsy...they're normally all curved and wobbly...

i am 170cms so im a bit short for a canadian. Some times i don't feel that shorts however some times i do.

I'd say anything under 5'8" (172cm) and shorter in the US. I'm a shade over 6'0" (183cm)

the average height is 5 ' 10 or 5 ' 11. So i would not consider that short. If a guy is under 5' 6. Then i would consider him short

I'm 5'10, I don't feel tall however don't feel short either. I'd rather be 6'2 though; that's a great height.

I'm only 5.8 and glad i was 5.8 .... I got more choice in selecting clothing.... I can easily shop in japan or europe....

and I dont have to eat 6 times a day.. and I dont have to bend over all the time .... or feel the shortest in the world.... I ....... my height is just nice ..lol

To be fair to Napoleon, little was the leader among many taller than him. Yao's height shorted his NBA career.

I've always been in the top 10% height wise, but it's nothing to be proud of, I had nothing to do with it. There was no hard work involved, it was all genetics, and growing up in an affluent society.

Ideally we'd all be shorter. We'd use less resources and take up less space. Airlines would be able to cram in extra rows of seating without causing discomfort.

6 foot 3 or 4 is probably the limit for height beyond which the inconveniences begin to weigh against the advantages, that's about the point where you start to suffer from being too tall.

@whipassmt: Funny you mentioned him. John Rhys-Davies (the guy who plays Gimli) is actually 6' 1", which makes him taller than a lot of the other actors in the movie. But yeah, I know you were referring to the character, not the actor =P

5'9'' is consider ok for a guy, but since most girls these days are growing pass 5'7'' (the average woman height in the US), they are going for men higher (6'1''+)

height is by far the most important appearence factor in men for women,the vast majority of women will reject a short guy before he even opens his mouth,especially average/short women(tall ones dont mind as much).if you are short you have to be a laughable douchebag to cause attraction,there is simply no other choice

The average height in Norway is in my opinion taller than this... Maybe I just notice the ones who are taller than that and not the ones shorter...

I guess anything below 5'10" i would consider short. I myself am 6'1" and i wish i was like 6'3" but, already at my height, legroom seems lacking lol.

As for short, I think anything under 5''6 is definitely in the short range.
