If i was a billionaire i would buy all my friends the best computers every half year and house my parents and basically do everything besides give it to people i dont know.

well providing the current US debt is over 14 trillion dollars

a billionaire donating money really wont help all that much

china hasnt claimed the money for several reasons... the US continues to borrow... and if there is a debt then there is an incentive to eventually pay it back

if china claimed the money... the US would collapse.. and since we are a superpower, that would be catastrophic

I think it also has something to do with the fact that the U.S. is China's biggest consumer. I'm willing to bet that most of the money they make through exports is from the U.S.. It's ironic, we buy their products, and then they lend us the very money that we gave to them in exchange for their exports.
