Hi there, I'm from Cornwall in England, which is easily the best county. Country sides & beautiful coast lines, fresh air & rubbish public transport, its the kinda place where you don't need a phone or a watch! Wheres most like this in the USA?

If you are a city dweller, then your probably right. I live in a small village, I could Kayak faster than the buses around here. We get no mobile phone reception & the nearest proper super market is 15 miles away. This is how life should be! Justinps2heroAah. Almost every state has places like that if you like untamed wilderness. It just depends on if you like desert, mountain, hot, cold, wetlands, etc... there's really something for everyone in the US of A.
Everyone know it's Idaho. You are a communist if you think otherwise! Franko_3I am a fan of potatos...
California, 100%.
Awesome natural beauty
Cool cities (at least in Northern California...not a big fan of LA personally, but it has its charm too)
You can surf, ski, and hike in a single day if you wanted to.
Nice people
Diverse people, from all different backgrounds
Amazing Beer
Amazing Wine
Amazing Food
Lots of coastline
Epic surfing
Good hunting, hiking, and outdoorsy stuff
California really has it all, I cant imagine living anywhere else. The only bad thing is the economy and cost of living.
If you plan to visit, I recommend staying North of Santa Barbara, as that is sort of the cutoff point. Los Angeles has its nice stuff, but ultimately I personally do not like it because of all the concrete, people, pollution, etc.
Northern California is much more relaxed, cooler (temperature wise, I mean), has more natural beauty, and is in general just a nice place.
If you really want the best California has, I recommend visiting the Central Coast; San Luis Obispo, Morro Bay, Santa Barbara, Pismo, etc.
I used to live in Monterey, I miss it sooo much :cry:California, 100%.

The greater DC region has its perks, though, but not a fraction of the beauty of the central CA coastline.
Wise choice. 8) Wise choice... or no other choice? 8)[QUOTE="xTheExploited"]Definitely Colorado.Pirate700

The D.C. region sucks along with most of the mid-Atlantic.
New England of course. :)Hi there, I'm from Cornwall in England, which is easily the best county. Country sides & beautiful coast lines, fresh air & rubbish public transport, its the kinda place where you don't need a phone or a watch! Wheres most like this in the USA?

I like the city here. DC is a lot of fun. I'm just as close to dense urban coolness as I am to parks and rivers. There's also a lot of jobs, money, and public transit options, and all bands that I want to see usually come here on tour.[QUOTE="sThomasf"]Dude, Tennessee isn't even CLOSE to the coolest state. >___>Neither is Colorado...I was gonna say Tennessee but then remembered how bad Memphis is so that brings it way down. Well Memphis has the BEST Bar-B-Que but we also have the highest crime rate:)
