Maybe to you. Not to anyone that's been there.

Most of my relatives live there. Beautiful state, but it seems like a bunch of pretentions old hippie types. (I'm talking about Denver, Boulder, etc). It's a big state, though, and I have little experience outside of those two areas.

Nebraska! Just kidding, I almost made myself laugh with that one. It's alright here. Cost of living is lowest you will find, while jobs still pay as well as places with higher costs of living. But, is it cool? No. Absolutely not. Nebraska I dare say is one of the least cool places to live in the USA based on outside perception.

You only really get "beutiful" countryside in middle and east Tennessee, though. And even then, it depends on where you're at. Most of it's "oh, look, a bunch of grass" kinda scenery. >__>

I like the city here. DC is a lot of fun. I'm just as close to dense urban coolness as I am to parks and rivers. There's also a lot of jobs, money, and public transit options, and all bands that I want to see usually come here on tour.

There is a fair amount of stuff to do in DC, particularly with entertainment. There are jobs (none well paying that I'm qualified for...). Not a fan of metro, and traffic sucks. But if you like it, go for it.

It's as beautiful as a state can possibly get. Truly God's country out there. It was is called a "free" state. It's very old west-like. The air is fresher than anything you've ever experienced. In other words, it's heaven on earth. Listen to the Rocky Mountain High by John Denver if you need to learn more.

I live in Washington, and some of the things that make it cool include: Jimmy Hendrix, Nirvana, Nintendo of America, Grand Coulee Dam, the Space Needle, Floating Bridges, a high school mascot that's a mushroom cloud, a ballistic missile submarine base, the world's largest orchard.

I've never been to New Hampshire, but it's one of my favorite states because of their motto: Live Free or Die.

I don't know about that, but it's certainly rather cheap to live here. I know they really want young people to stay in the state since the majority of young people move away as soon as they can, so they try really hard to get high school students to go to colleges in the state (for example, they give out really good scholarships often based on ACT scores).

Well yeah, I knew about Alaska, but I thought North Dakota was losing enough population they did it there too. Nebraska is similar though. A lot of kids like to leave the state as soon as they can. I was the anomole and actually came HERE for school and then stayed after college.

I suggest the southwest before the midwest. Hit Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, etc. It's truely something, IMO.

Eh, it's nasty hot down there in the summer, but I'll see. I definitely want to hit up Texas.
