Websites can steal whatever you have on your clipboard using IE... IE doesn't have scriptblocker, so if you go onto a bad website, the website can use a script to reload the page over and over and duplicate the virus you can get. Firefox also uses adblock, so you don't get pop ups, and can block advertisements that you don't like to see...ChicaQueenWarGa
That's not really IE's fault, you really shouldn't go on any websites that look suspicious (example 'free porn, naruto anime, kittys,')

Of course its IE's fault. Its their job to prevent security threats. If Mozilla can do it, I'm sure a company as huge as Microsoft could if they gave half a damn.[QUOTE="ChicaQueenWarGa"]Websites can steal whatever you have on your clipboard using IE... Actually, it can go to ANY site. All the webperson needs to do is place a script. I found out about the clipboard thing when I was StumblingUpon stuff. I copied a sentence, and there it read, my sentence I copied.
My mom actually wasn't careful...She was searching a phone number, and it lead to a website. Of course, she clicked on it and it refreshed four times, and duplicated a virus four times. The virus wasn't harmful, but I cannot get it off the computer. I went to the same website with Firefox, and nothing happend because I was blocking script, and I blocked advertisements.
IE just has more flaws, and has more secruity issues than Firefox.

Absolutely right. That's why MF is way better.

You shouldn't depend on your internet to do anti-virus, because viruses can come form more than just Internet.[QUOTE="Mumbles527"][QUOTE="newhenpal"][QUOTE="ChicaQueenWarGa"]Websites can steal whatever you have on your clipboard using IE... So my mom should use that stupid mcafee every time before clicking on a link using IE? Seems stupid when you can go where ever you please with Firefox...IE fails and will NEVER live up to Firefox or surpass Firefox. Although, the only thing web designers can do is direct you to a "No firefox site" where it explains that they want money, and they don't like Firefox blocking the ads.
Right now, that is being debated. There's more information here.
I think IE is plain stupid, so I use Firefox and IE Tab.
On every computer I've been on with both Firefox and IE on them, Firefox seems to be faster. That's why I use it over IE.ff7fan2
I figured why it was faster. ^__^ Firefox loads the page as a whole while IE loads the advertisements first, then text, then everything else.
[QUOTE="xooco"]designing for it is hellEJ902I agree with that, the web pages I design are usually rather simplistic, and even then IE's usually the only one to mess up.
And...Someone beat Microsoft to a webpage.

Well if your mom searched for things on google, than the site advisor shows a little icon next to the result and its either green(good) or red (bad), and no I don't think IE is plain stupid because it doesn't have ad blocker or spell check.

thats hilarious. :lol:I used to be an IE user until I hit those sweet Firefox add-ons. Go to the mozilla site and check em out, so many, so amazing.
Stumbleupon toolbar = amazing
I've used FF for a few years now and when I use IE I feel the need to vomit. I don't even know why...that's what is scary.FragStains
Yeah, i feel the same way too. It's really weird. :?
