I liked almost all the movies mentioned so far, especially Ben-Hur, which is one of the best movies ever made as far as I'm concerned.

That movie had so many scenes that needed to be cut....However, some scenes were captured really well.

Yeah. I really liked all the action scenes, but everything else with story was terrible.

Independence Day. I don't know if it was three hours but it seemed like it. When it boiled down to it, the movie was just a generic alien film.

The Deer Hunter. I've never seen anything that manages to serve up so much of what can only be described as carefully calculated boredom. The first hour and a half of the movie are unbearably dull (like watching someone you've never met show you their second cousin's poorly shot wedding footage) and the rest aren't much better.

Anyone who said The Dark Knight is wrong. I have to say...hm, I don't know. Maybe It's A Wonderful Life. Like, I really like the plot, and once the movie gets interesting, it's not bad, but it feels like it takes a lifetime for it to get interesting.

Sorry if you disagree, but IMO Godfather 1 is the superior film. Maybe calling G2 a POS was a bit much... I haven't had any coffee today lol.

Man, the middle section is a little overdrawn but I LOVE the finale in New York. >: I haven't seen the original but Jackson's is a worthy remake.

It is only 2 hours long but I tried watching Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World 3 times and fell asleep each time.

Plzhelpmelearn
blasphemy, that's one of the most badass movies ever! i fell asleep during the last samurai when I watched in theatres, but when I rented it at home, I thought it was a spectacular film.

Unreasonable expectations, probably - and it wouldn't surprise me given how many top ten lists include the Godfather movies. I've never watched them myself because so many people build them up as the best movies of all-time and it's impossible to live up to that. Then again, I watched Citizen Kane knowing its pedigree and agreed with its top spot.
