what major events do you hope to see in your life time ?

i hope to see :

-Landing on the mars
-Cyber space ( you know the one like in futurama where you can actualy tune in to the game , website or whatever )
-Contact with aliens
-Fully functioning robots
-*insert more sci-fi stuff here*
-Cure from cancer , aids and etc.
-big big conspiracy reveal (like iluminatus for example )
-half life episode 3

-I'd like to see reformations in a few of the world's organized religions. That would go a long way to solve alot of global issues. A Catholic Reformtion that allows married and female priests would be great, and and a major Islamic reformation that focuses less on fundementalsism would also be good. Unfortunatly, the Islamic Revolution that instilled said fundemental values wasn't that long ago anway...

-An increase in global tolerence level (in terms of race, gender, religion, social standing)

-Alien contact, holy crap. Would completely and utterly change the world...if they don't kill everyone :P

I hope I see the current concept of High school eliminated in the US..

Have Jr. High extended to maybe 9th/10th grade, and then that's it.
Trade school school, college prep school, or work after that.
