What will happen on Dec. 21st 2012?

What is this? Y2K?

Wasn't the world supposed to end in the year 666, then 1000 then 2000?

For those who aren't aware of the significance of this date, The ancient Mayans used their advance knowledge of Mathematics and Astronomy and calculated how long the Earth will rotate around the sun.

For whatever reason their calculations could not exceed past December 21st, 2012.

What has been PROVEN to occur ON THAT DATE by todays Scientists (to coincide with the Mayans calculations) is that the Sun will be in perfect alignment with the Milky Way Galaxy AND the Earth will complete a wobble on it's axis (AKA Precession). This event only occurs once every 26 000 years.

Mayans prophesized the end of the world on this date but I think it will be a new beginning, something that will change our lives and the way people live. WHO KNOWS MAN!

Days were different back then. You know, Mayans, Egyptions,etc were for knowledgeable in studies such as Maths than we are today, their knowledge just didn't get passed down. It's because all they did was study all day, instead of being like the lazy world today watching TV, playing games, getting laid, and what-not.

I'd say that 2012 is probably just an alignment of some stars or some crap, nothing will happen to us. Besides, the so called "Age of Aquarius" in Astrology is supposed to begin in 2600 or 2100 (different dates from 2 diff people). I'd rather believe into this astrology stuff, since around Jesus time, well...around 1AD was the start of an Age. At Moses time was the start of an age (unless these are made-up characters, astrology makes you wonder sometimes). Basically the age we're in now is supposed to be full of Monotheism and the Age of Aquarius is supposed to have people getting more knowledge.

That's more believable than some Mayans knowing when the end of the world is lol.

yea polar shift, there are articles on it as a theory, but it really can't be proven until it actually happens. logically there is No Reason For It Not To Happen, cause if it's true on a 25k-26k year cycle on realignment on some interstellar scale; we wont know till it's to late.
