Sounds simple, right?

But for some reason, it is perhaps the most deliscious mass-produced frozen dessert in the world. I dont know if its the quality of the ice cream, and the frailty of the chocolate, but it-IS-JUST-SO-DAMN-GOOD!

Unless you want to get rid of anything resembling the subjective "essences" or "meanings" of life, and have us all become nihilists.

And do you think that the absence of theistic belief will solve all problems, or wars? Men will always find a belief to kill each other over, whether it be strictly religious or not.

Perhaps I pounced too fast.

The Catholic Church as a mixed bag; as a former Catholic, I share dislikes of it, but has done immense good for the world at large, in terms of poverty relief, advancement of sciences (Ok, Galileo got the short stick, but still, the scientific method, modern biology, etc), the preservation of literacy among people during the middle ages, the university system.

They have done bad, but still, it's been balanced.

And my "Ultimate Concern" and "essence" and "meaning" lie in that same "religious" area. It has effected every aspect of my life for the better; I do fasten to an absolute truth; I don't mind those that do; I dislike it mightly when they view a disagreement about the absolute truth as "blasphemy" or "sacrilege." Everyone is in the same proverbial boat, searching for meaning.
