[QUOTE="Fightingfan"]The accessibility, and cheap cost of fast food. WiiMan21This^ And the lack of time to make a proper meal. I can't remember the last time I had a nice home cooked meal. I'm not fat though. I personally don't either, which is why I prefer my food for the week, since I care about my diet. E.g I prep meats, or even cook chick breast a head of time. I'm gonna start messin' with the crockpot :P
I'd say that the lack of time to make proper meals, combined with the accessibility and low cost of fast food. For kids my age who don't have a lot of money to go around, fast food is an enticing option. Lack of exercise is an issue as well, at least around here. Phys. Ed isn't required once you get to high school, and even then it's a joke.LZ71Must be a lot of fat people.
It's not fast food. It's portion size. People eat larger meals than they have in the past. Forunately, the obesity epidemic is purely limited to the US. Other countries aren't seeing major problems with it. . . .
Fat people (for the most part) make themselves fat by eating crappy food and not exercising. It is their own damn fault.chathurangaI support this person for the win
1) Lack of education about food, it should be common sense but not everyone knows that eating fast food and other junk every day isn't healthy.
2) Fast food is located in very convienant areas, and it's dirt cheap.
3) Many people in the US are lazy and choose not to excercise, on top of this many people also have a mindset that "I was born this way". They use this as an excuse for not taking self responsibilty, they say they can't change and are just naturally obese. Which is just false, while some people may have natually larger bodies and weights than others, obeasity is a whole other matter and is NOT natural at all.
I am a thin American, part of this is due to my hight metabolism but also because I take good care of myself. I am a spiritual person and The Bible says "your body is your Temple", that's a lesson I live by and apply to my life.
Our bodies are a gift from God meant to be enjoyed and taken care of, to absue it with either drugs or being unhealthy is morally wrong in my eyes. Just my opinion though.
Thank you. Saying a food is "unhealthy" or "clean" without context of an entire diet is frankly quite retarded. I'd like to add that the lack of people burning off these excess calories is equally the blame. Two sides to the equation. Energy in, and energy out. It's not fast food. It's portion size. People eat larger meals than they have in the past. Forunately, the obesity epidemic is purely limited to the US. Other countries aren't seeing major problems with it. . . .

If you burn more calories than you use then it is impossible to get fat. So fat people are lazy unless the have a major medical problem it should not be a problem. I am in good shape but I just started a crossfit program and I dropped 8 pounds in a week. At the same time I was eating crap late at night a major non-no.

[QUOTE="k2theswiss"]i blame high fructose corn syrup... NO where else in world besides u.s.wii60_3Yes,, its in like EVERYTHING all the food we consume is garbage thats engineered not to be healthy but for profit and to make americans dumbIrony right here is delicious. All dietary carbohydrate contains 4 calories per gram. Yes, because it has slightly more fructose than regular sugar it's killing the masses. Try again.
How stupid do you think fat people are?1) Lack of education about food, it should be common sense but not everyone knows that eating fast food and other junk every day isn't healthy.

I don't know, but really it doesn't matter all that much. It's just a trend society, particularly the US, is going though, and will more then likely pass given some time. Just do your thing and don't worry so much about other people, or use it as leverage to think you are better then everyone else.
You literally just contradicted yourself. How so I clearly burned more calories than I ate[QUOTE="noscope-ak47"]
