There are certain types of caterpillars which are carnivorous in nature. However, only one percent of all caterpillars eat meat, and generally feed upon soft flesh like insects and spiders.
You're a racist? I am appalled to hear that you might be a racist based on what you think you've heard other people say! :oI learned from some people on these boards that I am apparently a racist! Aside from that, I learned a little japanese.

EDIT: Scratch that... I did learn that there's a cloud of ethonal alcohol out in space somewhere.
[QUOTE="Espada12"]You're a racist? I am appalled to hear that you might be a racist based on what you think you've heard other people say! :o But um, anything interesting this week? Can't say that I have....I learned from some people on these boards that I am apparently a racist! Aside from that, I learned a little japanese.

Apparently! Maybe I'm a real life Uncle Ruckus without knowing it :O!
Do not put cheese in your bag (personal knowledge)DarthkaiserI read the thread you made about that. :P
I would be more appalled if I knew who Uncle Ruckus was! :oApparently! Maybe I'm a real life Uncle Ruckus without knowing it :O!

Oh, yeah, and there's that. :(Apparently Gary Coleman is dead.

I learned that, according to theoretical physicists, black holes gradually disappear. Reportedly they do this by sucking in anti-matter that randomly appears out of nowhere in space. These particles are created with matter at the same time. The anti-matter particles are sucked into the black holes while the matter particles are shot out into space. Once in the black hole, the anti-matter particles react with the matter at the heart of the black hole destroying it. Thus, the continual stream of anti-matter particles gradually eat away at the black hole until it no longer has enough mass to actually be a black hole.
Of course, theoretical physicists also theorize that Higgs Bozon particles are so abhorrent to nature that they send shock waves back through time to destroy what would have created them in the future. According to the theory, this is what caused a bird to drop a baguette on the LHC thus breaking it for several months.
In light of the source and its other claims, it may have turned out that I learned nothingother than random musings of crackpots :P

uncle ruckus! lol.. warning language :P
I learned some stuff about the different kinds of beer (ales, lagers, stouts) and different brewing technques.JPOBSAll of which are quite tasty.....
I learned that scientists decided to officially cl@ssify "Handfish" as a new species of which there are currently 14. Yay for fish just too lazy to swim!
I've seen quite a few of your threads locked.. :lol:I've learned that even if you abide by the rules when posting a thread, a mod can allow his own personal opinion tobe the basis for locking a thread and then say it was locked for another reason, which is bogus as well.
jo-joGun
You made a thread about shooting animals with a BB gun - and you're surprised that it got locked? It's not the mods fault if you make a tasteless thread that isn't funny and call it a "joke" after it gets locked. :|I've learned that even if you abide by the rules when posting a thread, a mod can allow his own personal opinion to be the basis for locking a thread and then say it was locked for another reason, which is bogus as well.

I learned to keep science lab tools out of the reach of students. One of the clowns in my class took a kitchen knife that I use for cutting fruits used in experiments; he then thought I would be funny to make a decapitating gesture to the girl in front of him. He's sitting in a juvenile detention cell right now :(UT_Wrestler
People take some things seriously and some take them too far. But this, I think might be a bit too strict, but one can't be too careful these days apparently.
Tonight me & my 3 year old twin daughters went to the park, they watched two squirrels grab an acorn or whatever and sit and eat it for 5 minutes about 10-15 feet away from us. They were fascinated. Watching your kids learn or see something for the first times is one of the greatest thrills in life.
Very interesting. *puts pipe in mouth* I'm currently watching Universe at the moment so I love hearing about black holes.I learned that, according to theoretical physicists, black holes gradually disappear. School administration was just going to suspend him for having a weapon. But her dad was the one who wanted charges pressed. The girl says she felt threatened, and according to the campus cop, that made it a form of aggravated assault. I'll vouch for the kid when investigators ask me about it next Tuesday, but hopefully he learned a valuable lesson; both about taking things that don't belong to him and taking a joke too far.[QUOTE="LJS9502_basic"]I've learned I've affected people so much they can't let go.....thank you trolls for all the love.JustPlainLucasYou probably stole some of my trolls. :(You can have them back....

Black holes do gradually disappear, but not by the way that you said they do. Look up vaccuam fluctuations.

But, yeah, hopefully this is a wake up call to him, that you can't joke like that. If its in a city, even more so. I think the student deseved a suspension or an explusion for a few days at the most, but jail time? :|

There's a classroom full of witnesses, including myself, who can all say the same thing I did. If he had just stolen the knife and was playing with it, then yeah that would have been just a suspension. It was the violent gesture that got him in trouble; and considering the fact that the girl was black he should probably also be worried about hate-crime charges. Please Log In to post.
