What's the purpose of underwear?

I have wondered the answer to this question my whole life and it fells like this is teh place to ask it. are there multiple reasons why we wear it? It seems that I could save some money by not wearing any. Living teh free life makes you fell, well, "free". I cannot explain the feeling I get when I go to public places and think "I'm not wearing underwear right now, and all these people don't know that". Freedom is the best way to describe it. I have freedom and I'm not afraid to abuse it!!

So, GS, what is your reason for wearing underwear? Or why do you think our society has forced underwear-wearing upon us?

Going commando might seem nice but a lot of stuff can go wrong:

1. your helmet can rub against the zipper

2. Maybe youre in a hurry at the urinal and you dont shake and just stuff it inside...better those few drops left go onto underwear than onto your exterior clothing for all to see.

3. Maybe you lift something heavy the day after eating a lot of mexican foot and you shart yourself a little bit. Wearing underwear will buy you some precious time to go change since it will stop whatever leakage from getting outside.

4. Have you ever not worn underwear? It sucks; you walk around, things get sweaty, but the moisture has nowhere to go so it collects, leading to discomfort, rash, and moist groin! Underwear stops all of this.

Having racing stripes in your jeans would suck.
