Ihaven't seen it but the concept is disgusting enough, Human Centipede.

I've only seen the trailer but I'll go with this.

I'm surprised no one has said Teeth yet. That movie seemed pretty messed up although it's supposed to be alright.

Teeth wasn't bad at all (in terms of being messed up). It's very slow, and I didn't think the movie built up to much of anything, imo.

Actually the concept behind it is more grotesque than the content that is shown.

I was going to say Holy Mountain for the weirdest!

For messed up though i have to go with Irreversible. For some reason the super-happy 'ending' got me, and got me good.

I don't like Requiem for a Dream because of the old woman storyline.

I didn't make it through Salo. And I know now not to watch Cannibal Holocaust!

You'll "gladly" watch someone burn in hell for expressing their (as evidenced by your post, horrifying and probably accurate) opinon?

You know, now that I think about it, Religulous is a pretty weird movie, but that's really just because it shows a world in which people brutally murder each other over fables and mythology. Pretty messed up indeed.

I wouldn't call it a opinion, he is mocking, attacking, and spitting on religion, he is attacking Jesus, and I guess thats what people like to do today, to express their emotions and arts. Why doesn't he poke fun of Islam, well because Christians aren't going to blow him up or saw his head off. So ya, he is real tough expressing his "opinion," when in reality he is just a creep, nothing more.

If you saw the movie, you would know that the filmmakers go after many other religions, including Islam. The reason Christianity is the biggest part of the film though, is because that is the biggest religion here, and that makes it the most relevant one to talk about. Also, the filmmakers are just exposing how silly many of the concepts in the religion are, it's not about being tough.

I was going to watch Cannibal Holocaust, but I was horrified just by reading about all the grotesque content in it.

I guess 12 Monkeys was kind of strange, though it was also a great movie.

Holy GOD, I'm with you on Cannibal Holocaust.

Won't somebody think about the poor turtle =o

That scene wasn't that bad, they cut the head off straight away, so it wouldn't have felt any pain. I think the scene when the guy was stabbing that little monkey this with a knife was more disturbing.

antichrist. it actually reaches a point where cutting off part of your labia majora isn't as shocking as it would seem.

Saw this early in the week and I agree. Well, with making it my choice, not with the desensitisation to the self-mutilation. >_>
The scene where she um.... makes him you-know-what blood is one of the vilest things I've ever seen in a film. ;-;
Search "The Human Centipede" on Youtube. I'm still having a hard time judging whether it is horror or comedy.LiftedHeadshot

Its just a bad film. I got the "privilege" of watching it, and while its premise was shocking, its delivery was downright bad. There was no character development (of either the victims, or the crazy German doctor), the story was haphazardly put together, and the "shock" value was tame compared to some movies I've seen. There was perhaps a single scene where they implied that the one guy was actually defecating, but the acting was so bad it just made it almost funny.

I find it amazing how such a poorly made film gets such a cultish following.

--

My pick would be Visitor Q, directed by Takashi Miike. It is easily one of my favourite movies of all time, its underlying themes are great, but the package its delivered in is just weird to say the least. But hilarious at the same time.

That's another great movie. It's shocking but the shock is not gratuitous. It's an extreme tale of family unity.

Paprika. I adored Inception, but it could only dream of being as messed up as Paprika.
