Antichrist
Blue Velvet (though this is one of my favorite movies too >_>)

I've seen Antichrist a couple of weeks ago and was mesmerized. One of my favourite movies ever. So beautiful and poignant.
Well I thought it was quite crap, but the acting was great at least:P It was too arty, and relied on shock value for my tastes. I have always liked Wilem Dafoe though, and he and Charlotte Gainsbourg were great.

The scenes sure were shocking but they weren't gratuitous. They served the tale the way they had to.
But I agree with you on Dafoe and Gainsbourg's plays. They were f'n stellar.

Come and See
come and see is absolutely amazing. it may not be the most explicit film ever made, but how the events string together is so powerful.two girls one cup.
Or mainstream film... possibly hostel 2. i hated the bit where this woman chops off somebody's sausage. then fingers him. eewwww. horrible.

I whole-heartedly agree with you. I adore it. :)Funny Games. That movie was terrible. The characters were dumber than a box of rocks.coolkid93
Which version are you referring to? The original Austrian movie (1997) or the American remake with Naomi Watts (2007)?
antichrist. it actually reaches a point where cutting off part of your labia majora isn't as shocking as it would seem.

I'm not exactly a wimp but I have to say I couldn't finish watching that ****. Hostel was actually not that bad imo compared to Antichrist; I imagine any guy would have to at least look away during that film.
All the SAW movies..Ice-Cube
Yeah I've gotta agree I reckon all the Saw movies are pretty messed up - perfect example http://www.shocktillyoudrop.com/news/topnews.php?id=16965
On the topic of Saw this looks pretty messed up. This is something they did for the new movie. Check out the guy at the end, heaps funny! http://ow.ly/2WRaW
I saw this movie called "Head On" for my University class last week. I swear, there was so much sexually explicit content in it. It didn't seem appropriate for the class to me AT ALL.
I also saw this film in French called "Martyrs". It was pretty gory; at one point this girl had her skin stripped off and it showed the muscles beneath with pulsating veins and everything. Obviously fake....Still very visual though :?
This thread is awesome. I have been looking for some exploitation films to watch.
Otherwise, I've got nothing. I mean, I found Sleep Away Camp disturbing when I was 10, in particular, the ending, but it seems tame now, especially comparison to some of the stuff I am reading on here.
For whatever it is worth, Faces of Death, I suppose, deserves a mention.
Most disturbing I've seen - Salo
Most disturbing I won't see - Philosophy of a Knife
Weirdest film I've seen - Legendary Panty Mask (you will never listen to the "Row, row, row your boat" song in the same way ever again)
Weirdest film I thought was perfectly executed - Gozu (caused me to both curse and praise Miike's name in quick succession)
Although really it's just a toss-up as I've seen more bad and bizarre films than most people have seen films. But there's plenty more to go. >_>
