Whats wrong with eating meat?

Okay, my Sister brought her friend over here today, and i didn't really care. So i was watching TV while eating a burger, and 5 minutes later my Sister asked me to stop eating it, she told meit makes her friend uncomfortable. And at first i thought it was the way i was eating, but it turns out that girls a vegen, or whatever. And i figured, i paid for the burger, im going to eat it. Then the girl gets all moody, and starts arguing with me. Talking about its immoral to eat meat. Long story short, she left because she couldnt stand the sight of a dead cowandnow my Sisters angry with me. I dont think theres anything wrong with eating meat, but some people do. What do you think?

No one is right. No one is wrong. It's someone's choice if someone eats meat or not.

And couldn't your sister's friend just left if it bothered her.

It's your house which means you have the right of way, which means eating meat is okay.

Even generally there's nothing wrong with eating meat. Animals eat other animals all the time. We're animals and we eat other animals. Unfortunately some people forget to realise this.

The only way to maintain a healthy body is to eat both meats and vegetables, so the one who eats both is right.

I would have done the same thing, I bought the burger and I am going to eat it wether she likes it or not, she could hang outside and eat the damn grass for all I care, so good for you, and theres nothing wrong with eating meat.

For some people it's for health reasons, for others like myself it's because we just love animals. I personally don't try to "make" people stop eating meat and I respect their decision because I believe it's a personal one.

But honestly, some of these answers are just ridiculous. Sure, that girl has no right to tell people if they can eat meat or not, but really. o_o

IMO, it's perfectly fine to eat meat. And I can't stand when vegies/vegans try to argue with meabout it and shove their opinions down my throat. I usually respond by eating a fat burger in front of them.

Tell her the burger was made out of wolf meat, and you were doing various woodland critters a service.

I've often wondered what vegetarians would think of eating carnivorous animals, although that made me consider that most of the animals people typically eat are mostly vegetable fed...
