Nobody would know who the hell I was if I didn't have a 'Miss' in my name I'll think you'll find. I dislike OT now because I'm not so into pantomime. I despise the tacky and superficial and, sadly, that's the tone this place has been rockin of late. Maybe it'll swing round again. Who knows. I expect I would magically love the place if I were suddenly popular enough to win an OTcar, however. I hugely regret not adding a Miss to my name.

I find it helps to take a more selfish view on things. Use it to pass the time and nothing else. It may decrease the social aspect of OT but I didn't come here to make friends anyway. Wolls

I think i understand your situation . As for me i don't hate anyone , anyplace unless i'm not wanted anymore or hated upon . Enjoying small thing things from life as life is full of misery :)

not true....Librarian would be a fairly unique name and would stick out......I'd probably show you the general indifference that I do now.....OTcars are overated....if you stick around long enough you get one by default.....

Lol yea those were the good times, I was even thinking of having a UK get together at one point but those days seem to have passed. Everyone just seems more pessimistic in OT nowadays but ohwells we just keep on carrying on :)

I remember I was so up for that but it never came about. I think most of the UK crew would still be sane and willing enough to entrust our lives into each other's hands :P I've seen a few in real life and they're not as scary as they seem at least. I like OT. I wouldn't spend so much time here if I didn't. The users are entertaining and witty and have put up with a lot of crap from me over the last three years. It honestly makes me go all gooey inside. *sob* I think I feel another OT love song coming on.

I come here (Gamespot) really only for Off-Topic anymore. I used to really like the site, but then when Gerstmann-gate happened, I left and now pretty much reside over at Giantbomb. But I continue to come back to Gamespot for Off-Topic. Usually the topics are pretty light-hearted and sometimes can get hilarious "touch her shoulder" meme was and still is great.

Do you guys (mods) feel responsible (at least in part) for the state of OT? For example, I know rag is working really hard on the GGD board. OR Do you feel like you can only work with what 'we' give you?

I think we didn't do enough to stop it before things got really bad here... and haven't done enough things to try to get "the community" involved with what's going on.
