So it's more of a philosophy than a religion? I never really understood why to even use the term Satan to represent something you believe is in everyone. Sorry if im misinterpreting your belief, im pretty ignorant when it comes to satanism in general.[QUOTE="Postmortem123"][QUOTE="MrPraline"] He's LaVeyan, I would guess.Hubadubalubahu

Satan is used as a symbol of mankind's nature and instincts, and acting on these is encouraged (the opposite of Christianity).

What I want to know is, what is the point of calling it satanism? Not that I find it offensive or anything, but what actually separates it from simple individualism?I'm a Christian. Surprise, surprise, atheist is the most picked option.

It's a conspiracy! Quickly, somebody PM WASDIE!
Said with disdain just like a true Christian. Don't agree with my beliefs? Burn in hell.I'm a Christian. Surprise, surprise, atheist is the most picked option.

Hubadubalubahu

Which still doesn't mean he's telling you to burn in hell.

I just find that my beliefs fall closest to those found in LaVeyan Satanism, therefore its much easier to say I'm a Satanist.
And I've never studied Individualism other than what is mentioned in the Satanic bible, and other bits and pieces I've seen, so you're probably better qualified to answer that.
Anti-religious secular humanist with a hint of personal mystical interest (in what I can find in my own mind).foxhound_foxThis guy is an example of a kind, respectful atheist. He talks with you nicely, offers lots of explanation on his beliefs, and doesn't resort to name calling. I think others should follow his example.
Along with being athiest, I'm also nihilistic. Forgot to mention that in my first post. But it would be hard for me to think of a situation in which an Atheist isn't at least a little nihilistic, or a realist at the very leastimaps3fanboy
Yeah atheism and nihilism work together nicely.

If anything, I'd say the atheists here are doing more judging, not us Christians, so why don't you start picking fights with them as well? Well condescending tone's aside which usually imply your judging someone, I dont feel the need to go through your contributions and drudge up what crap you spew. I shouldn't have to do your work for you, maybe look at some of your posts yourself and read some of the sh*t you say. You have made your opinion of others belief/non belief very apparent on numerous occasions, and quite recently too if i remember.[QUOTE="Hubadubalubahu"][QUOTE="kingkong0124"] I never said anything about "burn in hell". I think others should follow his example. kingkong0124If someone is being stupid, I'll still call them on it. I wouldn't exactly say that I'm "nice", rather, I'm "brutally honest". Though, I have to admit, I don't have any issues with anyone's personal beliefs so long as they do not threaten the wellbeing of others (directly or indirectly). If people want to believe the sky is green, the ocean is pink and yellow polkadot unicorns fly babies to their mothers, I really couldn't care less. It is when the "Church of the Unicorn" takes over, prescribes what beliefs are true and which are not, and asks for charitable donations to help "spread the Word of the Horn" that I take issue. The "freedom of religion" means that everyone is entitled to believe what they want, and childhood indoctrination could be construed as a violation of their constitutional rights.
