[QUOTE="mattbbpl"][QUOTE="thattotally"]

Christians should have converted to Islam 1400 years ago. The reason why Westerners never will convert to Islam because:

1. no alcohol

2. no drugs

3. no gambling

4. no strip clubs/prostitution/exploitation of women, etc.

5. Fundamentals include building a strong community where everyone works together and people are dependable.

and more

No way will Western civilization ever want that. No alcohol? Why they'd rather perish apparently

But it's your life. I am just pointing these facts out, without trying to tell anyone how to live their own life.

Christianity, Judasim, and Islam are sister religions - they believe in, literally, the same God. I'll never understand why there is such animosity between certain members of these religions to those in the other related religions.

Did you just quote me without even reading the points written? They're clearly on display for you.

Uhm yeah..the fact that Christians frown upon strippers and such, drugs and gambling is completely irrelevant right?..Oh also, they frown upon excessive drinking.so yeah...your points are pretty null..

Technically when I was in 5th grade.

But I didn't truly try to "follow" Him until this past year.

I was in a taco bell with a friend once. We were merrily eating tacos when I heard a violent screech. Everyone in the room jumped, we couldn't figure out where it was coming from. My friend suddenly noticed that his taco had a face on it and that part of it's neck had been chewed off. His taco was screaming! It looked like jesus! We ditched it and ran. He died the next day.

Baptized when I was a kid. However I decided that while Christianity it's self is solid enough as far as religions go I wasn't a big fan of the followers so I became agnostic until I decided upon a belief system that makes the most sense to me. If the Christians are right then I believe God is good enough of a guy that he won't be so petty as to put a person through eternal damnation if they believe in something different, assuming that person is a good person of course.

his parents probably forced him to believe, but as he grew up and became more independent he no longer needed it.

Yes, but that doesn't mean (s)he was saying what you were asking. And, (s)he said (s)he was unsaved, to be precise. :P

Ugh, I don't know. Maybe I'm reading too deeply into his comment.

When I was about one and a half. Since then, I've decided that being a Christian would hold me back from enjoying life, and have renounced it.

[QUOTE="ANNIHILISM"]i was saved when i was 13 years old. and then i kindly unsaved myself about a year later when i learned to think for myself.Snipes_2
So, Religious people don't think for themselves?

For the most part, religious people DO think for themselves. But when it comes to values, morals, and lifestyle they usually don't think for themselves. How can you think for yourself and choose (and I mean REALLY choose) your lifestyle if you're living by the book?

But I honestly think that being a religious zombie who doesn't think for the most part is much better than being a rational human being who does think, I'm almost envious.
