When do you make eye contact? if not what do you look at?

What kind of dumbass thread is this? The eyes, where you're suppose to.

My girlfriend is the only person I can make eye contact with, no lie.

Everyone else I just look past them :lol:

I dont know why honestly, but she's the only one I can look into the eyes of.

why not just goto the strip club? anywho, yeah i only look at people when they're talking. When i'm talking i just look behind them or at a tree or something

With guys, eye contact is good during a conversation, but steady prolonged eye contact is always awkward.

I just don't like making eye contact...but I don't like staring beyond people either, because then I think I'm giving off vibes that I'm bored of them when I'm really not.

You can look at something else, but don't do it so much to the point where it seems like you're more interested in something else. Maintain eye contact otherwise.

Depending on who you're with, prolonged eye contact might make her think you're staring at her and could make her feel self-conscious.

It might not mean you have low self-esteem but it could be viewed as a sign of weakness, especially to women.

Next time you walk past a dog, stop. Stand there. Turn and stare at it. Don't walk towards it or make any threatening hand gestures. Just stand there still as a post. And stare at it.

There's a reason why staring is considered a threatening gesture. There's a reason why bugs have "eyespots" in order to scare off animals that would normally eat them. There's a reason why when people screw up, they hang their heads in shame.

Avoiding eye contact is a universal sign of weakness.

I try to look at their eyes but if I focus too much I stare RIGHT into their eyes and kind of freak them out. If I'm talking to a chick I'll look at her boobs when she looks away. Quick tip, guys: Never look at a girls boobs before she notices you.

hmmm, interesting topic. never really pay attention to where my eye's are directed, usually just looking around I suppose, always doing somthing when talking. unless its the girl I like, then she pretty much gets a good amount of focus(not creepy focus,lol. but I guess I look more attentive).

I just look around randomly most of the time, I can't think properly when I look at someones eyes, for some reason it confuses me :?

And then because I look around at random I end up forgetting where I have looked an start panicking that I might have looked a little south of the eyes for a while or something then I get nervous, so most of the time I just angle myself so whoever I'm talking to isn't directly in front of me, which is fine at school because normally you stand in groups.

Anyway, I make eye contact almost all the time. If I'm not making eye contact, I usually look at their mouths, or something that's behind them.

I always make eye contact, I was taught to look at people in the eye when you speak to them...

so much in fact, that a lot of people tell me there's something special about the way I look at them, that can be intimidating, because they're not used to being looked at in the eyes so much. Some love it because they feel it shows more honesty and "trueness", others really don't like it because they feel analysed.

I hate when people stare in my eyes too long makes me think they can read me and I prefer to stay a mystery to people. Though generally when someone is talking to me I'll look in there eyes for awhile and then look somewhere else then stare again. Then when I talk I make alot of gestures to make the person understand what I'm talking about.
