I'll go with 'never'.

I very rarely make threads unless they're for the unions I'm a part of. And even then it's not very often.
I made a list of some reasons people seem to make threads here...
- I make threads for every thought that pops in my head
- I make threads when I'm too lazy to Google something
- I make threads to ask for personal opinions because I cannot choose for myself
- I make threads due to boredom
- I make threads because I think people like reading my threads
- I make threads for "the lulz"
- I make threads to have discussions with people
- I make threads to inform people of things
- I make threads because I don't see other threads I want to post in
- I make threads because you NEED me to make threads
- I make threads because I don't know when to stop making threads...
- I don't make threads
I could probably add more reasons that are more specific to some thread-making habits...But I got tired of writing
This thread mostly falls into #4, by the way
How about you?

Let's see, I'm a 1, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 9. You usually see me makin' threads swiftly.
I've only made a few. One I remember was about a news piece I thought people would find interesting, another a forum game that didn't work out well. That didn't surprise me though.
I'd be interested to see stats on users who make the most threads all time, and in past month. Though that would encourage a lot of people who are already far too trigger-happy on the new topic button, even more so. There's nothing wrong with making a lot of threads, but there is something wrong with making useless threads, especially when they are vaguely titled so I have to click on them to know they suck.

Last time I tried to contribute to this place with a thread of my own, the discussion it generated made me want to physically end myself.

What was your last thread about? I completely forgot.
23 pages worth of misconstrued trainwreck.
I think gabuex, T_P_O and like 5 others got it.
I've never made a thread.

I always make threads, I'm the one who provide OT topics to argue and opinions to share and lulz. I feel fine when I make threads.
I wish we could vote up or down people's thread making ability...when it reaches a low point 'x', they are banned from making threads...when it reaches a high point 'y', they are given incentives to make more threadsrawsavon
People will just vote against someone they dislike, irrespective to the quality of his or her threads, and people will vote others up irrespective to how crappy their threads might be, but just because they feel a sense of alignment with him or her.

Hopefully that crap would cancel itself out (b/w those that hate and love that person). There are lots of people on here I don't like, but I still want them to keep making threads...the lulz train must not be stopped once it leaves the station. There are also people I like that make s*** threads[QUOTE="BiancaDK"][QUOTE="rawsavon"]I wish we could vote up or down people's thread making ability...when it reaches a low point 'x', they are banned from making threads...when it reaches a high point 'y', they are given incentives to make more threadsrawsavon

I prefer to think of it as taking out the trash (and life is a popularity contest)[QUOTE="rawsavon"] I prefer to think of it as taking out the trash (and life is a popularity contest)BiancaDK

alright brother, whatever spins the globe in your world.
These conversations are always interesting with you. So I would like your input. Do you think there are instances in life where one's popularity is not an issue (popularity being defined as what people think of you...can be either extreme [abundance or dearth]). TBH, I can't come up with a situation where it does not play at least some small part in determining the outcome...no man is an island and all that jazzI don't see the problem with bad threads, bad posters ruin OT not bad threads, I've seen numerous times a bad thread get turned good by funny posts and humerous responses, and numerous times good threads get turned into boring "omg u so cute!" threads.bobbetybobPerhaps I should amend my post to say posting ability (not thread creating ability). ...but then what would us old folks have to b**** about. Me thinks we would just turn on one another. That would probably be funny for about a week, and then nothing would be left *feeling despair atm*

Usually if I find something interesting enough I'll just write a blog about it if I think others might find it kinda sorta maybe interesting.
