When do you make threads?

I made a list of some reasons people seem to make threads here...

1. I make threads for every thought that pops in my head
2. I make threads when I'm too lazy to Google something
3. I make threads to ask for personal opinions because I cannot choose for myself
4. I make threads due to boredom
5. I make threads because I think people like reading my threads
6. I make threads for "the lulz"
7. I make threads to have discussions with people
8. I make threads to inform people of things
9. I make threads because I don't see other threads I want to post in
10. I make threads because you NEED me to make threads
11. I make threads because I don't know when to stop making threads...
12. I don't make threads

I could probably add more reasons that are more specific to some thread-making habits...But I got tired of writing

This thread mostly falls into #4, by the way

Also along with these I also make threads because I want to hear other people's thoughts on a matter.

Last time I tried to contribute to this place with a thread of my own, the discussion it generated made me want to physically end myself.
