The problem being that right and wrong assume that there is a choice. If it is inevitable for something like this to happen, how can you judge something based on a right-or-wrong basis?
A leak? I'm judging the effort to score political points on such a non issue. There is a choice there. So you're telling me the President could have stopped the reporter from leaking the information? Granted, he could have just not said what he did, but barring that, there is no way, having said what he said, he could have stopped the reporter from leaking it. He said it in what he thought was a private moment, but as he found out it wasn't. He had no way to know that the reporter would leak the information.
It was an off-the-record comment. God forbid that the President is an actual person with other interests.Nice, America is going down the ****er and Obama finds it more important to talk about Kanye West... :x

I'm sick of the Kanye thing after one day...congrats OT.

Nope. I'm judging the effort to score political points on such a non issue. There is a choice there.Even though there's all this negative press about him and the world is laughing at him, all this attention is only going to increase his sales.

Trust me, there's a lot of horrible territory this fad hasn't treaded yet.
Gives me the chills just thinking about it.

Sorry LJS, we'll have to disagree here. You and I are both adults with kid(s) and many responsibilities. But if we focus on one aspect of our life, 24/7, all the others will fail. To me that's no different than saying a Pres doesn't need/deserve a vacation. It was just a one line response.

Private is fine....not public. I'd rather he presented an appearance of professionalism Anyway.....it was just a throw away line that got some supporters riled up. Which kept me entertained. Mainly though I find the entire thing blown out of proportion when the news has the president commenting on something so insignificant.Private is fine....not public. I believe it's pretty customary that before an interview things are off the record and that should have been followed by everyone listening in. As for the comment being made in the first place, it might not be the best time/place for it, but I'm sure it's not the first time Obama (or anyone else, for that matter) has commented on something like this before an interview.
