That isnt true, the deaths of the Iraqi civilians is somewhere around 60,000-100,000. far more terrorists have died than American troops, but the loss of one life is terrible, these terrorists brought the war to us now we are bringing it to them all across the world, there have been Al qaeda cells in Iraq and Afghanistan, but we will continue to fight them until they are gone. President Bush said this Global War on Terrorism was not going to be easy and it was not going to be fast, terrorism will be in the world for quite some time, there are always people who are willing to blow themselves up for a cause By the time it is year 2010 there will be almost miilion civilians died(I think so) . If you like Bush or not I have to say this he is one of the wrost president's in history. Bush's presidnecy has been mostly been covered by the Iraq war yet many people ignore how well the economy is doing and how low the unemployment rate is, sure some things can be changed but he is far from the worst president. you cannot judge the amount of civilian deaths because it varies from day to day and week to week, we will likely be out of there by 2010 anyways, its not like we are killing them these insurgents are killing them and they are not just from Iraq actually most of the insurgents are from neighboring countries and they will do anything to try to make us get out.Because it's not doing all that well. The unemployment rate looks lower because they changed they way the count it. They only count people who collect unemployment, so if your unemployment runs out but you still dont have a job, it doesn't matter, they are not counting you anymore.
Also, while the economy certainly doesn't suck, it's not that great either, and is looking to potentionaly take a turn south. Interest rates are rising (pre-cursor to inflation), forclosures rates are some of the highest seen in a long time, and gas prices are now over $3.00.
And you are wrong about the insurgents. MOST of them are natives, only a few are from Iran and other places.
The worst president ever? Dunno about that, but certainly one of the worst...
I only have two things to say about your post. First about the gas right now the government is taxing the barrels to help fund the war. which i don't mind. But if we pull out and then the terrorist take over the oil in Iraq we will be looking at some of the biggest hikes in history. Second Bush may not be one of the greatest presidents we have seen but he should not be ranked with the worst. For some reason i have a problem with people just blaming bush. We did elect all the officials that also impact what happens as well. I have said this in one of my other posts on a different topic but it is easy to point the finger at him but you should turn that finger and point that finger right back at yourself voters. Anyone that did not vote pfffftt.... They don't even have a say in this matter. As for the topic question when will terrorism end? It will end as soon as the Terrorist feel that they have won. Bringing our troops home from Iraq I guess will take a step in that direction I suppose.
