Wasnt Pearl Harbor considered a terrorist type attackNetYankEagleI don't think so, it wasn't an attack on a civilian target so i don't think it classes as terrorism more of a hit and run or blitzkreig tactic. Strategic bombing could be seen as a terrorist style attack though on a much larger scale as the idea is to reduce civilian moral.
When islam becomes domesticated by secular western philosophy. Just like christianity.dmc333.... you do know that not all terrorists are muslims right? There are Hindu terrorists in India, there were catholic and protostant terrorists in Northern Ireland, many groupds in Africa ccould be called terrorists.
[QUOTE="Bauers-Twin"][QUOTE="Suddenstriker52"]are you a terrorist if its for a good cause? John Brown is a misunderstood hero to some peopleÂ
I guess you would be suprised at how organized terrorist groups are.

Wasnt Pearl Harbor considered a terrorist type attackNetYankEagleNo, Pearl Harbor was an attack on the combatants of another nation, so it wasn't a terrorist attack. And terrorism existed long before 1961. Hebrew zealots committed terrorism in an effort to stop the Roman occupation of Israel, not to mention the Gunpowder Plot of 1605.
[QUOTE="NetYankEagle"]Wasnt Pearl Harbor considered a terrorist type attackRiseAgainst12wasn't hiroshima.. What about the IRA?
I believe as long as there are nation-states seeking to influence other nation-states by foreign occupations, extremist people and technology there will be terrorism. Anybody willing to kill themselves for a cause can take some people out. The more globalization reaches out and technology makes the inequalities obvious the more people will be willing to die for equality. If we don't take on the root as world problem not a US problem it will only get worse.
Also as long as there is a Government there will be an Anti-Government. Its really just nature for peoples opinions to clash, sadly people haven't grasped the concept that murdering people for usually your own selfish reasons (and if your murdering innocent people, it usually is selfish), or beliefs (beliefs that apparently tell people to strap bombs to themselves and throw themselves into large groups of women and children). In the end there is no just cause for killing women and children because they don't share your opinion.
There must be an absense of injustice in order to rid the world of "terrorism." And by injustice I mean greed.
Well terrorism is a lie that is created by the number one country in the world to expand its military bases in some third world countries and take advantage of its natural resources. Most of those who claim to commit such crimes in the name of Islam don't know the basics of Islam sadly.gamingqueen
You may want to revise that statement.
[QUOTE="RiseAgainst12"][QUOTE="ElZilcho90"] Care to enlighten us?Mr_sprinklesThe IRA before 1969 fought a guerilla war, no terrorist acts were implemented by them. After 1969 and the split within the IRA The PIRA and OIRA fought a war against British rule which was started when britsh forces opened fire on unarmed Nationalist civilians. during the height of the troubles the PIRA luanched a Bombing campaign in England to force a settlement on the Norths politically unstable situation as British government had failed many times before. it was a war caused by the British and as propaganda it was deemed terrorist. the British were the terrorists, simple. One man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter. Yes, but I'd hope that the freedom fighters I supported weren't targetting 5 year old kids and shooting them in the back.

well said. Let's say a country invades the USA and a few brave people decide to fight that invading country back. Are they gonna be considered terrorists? In the other country yes, but here no. They're simply defending their country. That logic can be used with the insurgents in Iraq. They really have every right to fight back in all honesty. One man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter.
