China is a possible simply as it has the largest population and so has the highest probability of making the best music. USA is a possibility to as the population has more spare time compared to those in the developing world and is the largest western country however they don't have the talent colleges that China has. If you're including historic music then it couldn't be the US or Germany as they haven't existed as a nation for very long, Britain is the best candidate then. Canada gave us Celine Dion and Justin Bieber, soCanada by far. Though the US did usher up the godliness of the Jonas bros.
US lol.
sorry guys, but when every single country duplicates the US's style, and even British and Norwegian artists sing and lose their accents to sound like a US singer, its pretty obvious who everyone aspires to be.
This isnt a superiority thing, dont interpret it as such please.
MMM HELLO I submit to you that the USA's prime position as the world's dominant economic behemoth has led to the worldwide export of American culture and that this, rather than musical superiority, is why American music styles carry such overpowering global influence.US lol.

WHATWHATISIT
you could easily say the same for UK music as well, given their worldwide influence.
I'm always hearing about the "vibrant" Canadian music scene, but I have to admit most of it makes me pretty ashamed to be Canadian. I mean, there are certainly a lot of good indie/alt-rock projects from these parts and a few good metal acts to boot, but the sheer abundance of crap we've produced totally overshadows any of the quality acts.Canada gave us Celine Dion and Justin Bieber, soCanada by far. I'm just teasing. There's plenty of good canadian bands.
