I'm tempted to say the red coats, main reason being that Iron Maiden and Pink Floyd are my two favorite bands.

Most of the bands I listen to come from the US, UK, Sweden, Finland, and The Netherlands. So those countries :P

Not true. It honestly all depends on the type of music you listen to.
When the majority of the great composers were born Germany didn't exist. The German Empire was founded in 1871, before that it was a group of city states with temporary confederacies.markop2003
We tend to use modern day borders when talking about cIassical music. Composers who lived in the region now known as Germany and Austria are considered German. The primary language they spoke is a big factor in making that determination.
