i prefer PC. macs are a ripoff and the apple OS is annoying. i've built several PCs with my friends. I dont care for iphones, ipads, imacs, macbooks, etc
It is? :P[QUOTE="MushroomWig"][QUOTE="raynimrod"]
A Mac is a PC.
raynimrod
Absolutely :)
Yep, Mac is just another brand of "personal computers".
I'm a Mac, I just couldn't take all the virus scans and error missing dll files with PC, I guess I can see it if your a PC gamer.ultimameteoraThese days, if your computer is half decent and you get good anti-virus software you will forget it's even there. You can schedule scans to run while the computer is idle or get it to run at a low priority while your using it, either way you wont notice it's there. As for missing dll files and other such errors, they shouldn't be common at all. I can't remember the last time I had a similar error. Oh, and if it wasn't obvious already, PC for me.
[QUOTE="JasonDarksavior"]Mac since it can run both Mac and Windows.tenaka2It can't run windows very well. macs do look very nice, but the lack of third party software is a bit of a nightmare. Plus they are over priced. I use Boot Camp all the time and there isn't much wrong with it.

PC
OSX is a slightly better OS, but Windows can do everything a Mac can do and more, with better performance at a fraction of the price.
I haven't used Macs much, what exactly makes OSX better than Windows in your opinion? I'm just curious.PC

Its a similar thing as with Iphone OS vs Android
Apple's OSs run more smoothly and effectively with less bugs.(also more secure)
At the cost of being less open (less 3rd part support in software and hardware)

The first 2 points I can agree with, but it has been pointed out many times, despite Windows receiving more viruses, it is a farm more secure OS overall than MAC OS X. A good virus on Mac will cause alot more harm than a similar level virus on PC. but ofcourse they are less common, because lets face it if you was a hacker who would you target? 95% of the market or 5%? :P[QUOTE="broken_bass_bin"]I haven't used Macs much, what exactly makes OSX better than Windows in your opinion? We are lierally comparing dozens of viruses/malware vs dozens of thousands. Its not just do to the lesser market share alone.

From what I've heard in the news lately, the biggest threat to the security of Apple products is Apple them self.I'd choose a Windows PC over a Mac OS X PC as the former doesn't carry an outrageous price tag for the hardware that you receive. I wouldn't mind playing around with Mac OS X, though, but Apple makes it explicitidly clear that you can only do so on a Mac OS X PC.
Its too true, sad to see the market eats it up. Its becoming a trend to introduce an average product at an extremely high price point with a massive marketing blitz. Much like those awful Beats headphones.speaking personnaly i have no love for mac at all.. to me their turning owning a computer into owning a fashion accessory.. not a utility knife.. which is why i will always heart windows & linux
