What?????????
If I want the crap story of a video game I will play a video game. And the whole thing was like a video game the Spartan boys would kill a group enemy soldiers then end up fighting what looked like a boss fight to me.You did not just say that video games have crap stories, did you? Some games have great stories, just not all of them. Somewhat similar to movies...
chick-flicks besides A Walk to Remember
Mortal Kombat
movies with pointless violence, sex, drugs, etc.

A Walk to Remember was hilarious

I was forced to watch it on a bus ride, and about three minutes into the movie, I turned to my frien and said, "Watch. She's going to get cancer and die." I swear that I said that. Which meant I was laughing solid for the last half-hour of it. All the girls hated me that day.

don't diss on that movie... it rocked...
oh i know now.
I hated 3:10 to Yuma.
I kept waiting for Christian Bale to be a badass but it never happened. And they kept setting it up for that to happen to.
The Mist, well only the ending
I forget the name of this other one, but it was something to do with the desert, and had penelope cruz in it, its worse than all 3 spiderman movies combined.
[QUOTE="muthsera666"][QUOTE="athgeek"][QUOTE="TheFragcat"]Alien vs predator & alien vs predator requiem, loved the all oldies but they ruined the two comic book classics. would have expected more.athgeek
Yikes... AvP:R was disgustingly bad. I can't believe I let my friend talk me into seeing that in theaters...
Ironically, I just watched Alien for the first time last night. For being over twenty years old, it still has a lot of atmosphere. And Sigourney Weaver was somewhat attrative, though she was still insanely skinny...
Yeah. I kind of want to go back and watch the old Alien and Predator movies..
what do you lot think of the the first predator movie? i'm my opinion, it's one of the best films made, the atmospere was amazing. the commando team in the jungle fighting a lethal predator, what also made it good was the backround sound too. 10/10

Well,
I was told many times over that is it *the* movie to see,
so, I said fine, expecting an intellectual artistic piece of cinematic history based on all the reviews, and my friends. This was not the case, what I ended up watching was a self congratulatory picture, based on the "unique" concept that "society is changing"...like we haven't seen that thousands of times...with absolutely nothing original to say. Some brief shock moments, and a false sense of intelligence seems to keep the pseudo-intellectual film going public attracted to it like it's the greatest film of all time. The problem is, it wasn't intelligent, it didn't say anything new, and 3/4 of the way into them movie, it got bored of itself, and completely changed paths to something even worse than the story it has spent all that time building up. It was not a good movie. Of course, I don't sit at Starbucks with a Mac Air writing my screen play in public for people to see, and therefore, I'm sure I don't fit the demographic that film was going for.

I have never heard of that movie being called a pseudo intellectual film. I however think its great.
Any Star Wars movie, overrated trash that ruined the sci fi genre.Film-GuyI thought V was one of the best sci fi films ever.
napoleon dynamite, sin city, pulp fiction, both kill bills, and reservior dogs. dissonantblackI actually enjoyed all of these movies, especially Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs. And yeah, I liked Napoleon Dynamite. It wasn't that bad, people.

Blasphemy!
Star Wars turned the public against interesting sci fi. After Star wars it became more acceptable for a sci fi film to have a crappy plot as long as it had good effects. Intellectual Sci Fi went downill after Star wars, sure there were some gems like Twelve Monkeys, but they never had the success they used to.
