[QUOTE="spacesheikh"] Well for one, The US is still around...spacesheikh

I was talking about at the time.

Gulag?

It was better than dropping nukes on people, telling them it's not a big deal :P

But yeah, I still think Bush was the worst president... ever. The situation was far more different during the Cold War.

And what country was he serving "honorably"? The Soviet Union. Espada12

I don't see what the problem with that is. What made the US any better than the Soviet Union?

Well, a lot of things. For all its faults, and there are plenty, a person who lived in the U.S. had a lot more freedom than a person who lived in the USSR, especially when it came to political freedom. The CIA and Herbert Hoover with the FBI did a lot of horrible, repressive things both domestically and abroad, but people like Leonid Brezhnev and Yuri Andropov almost made their U.S. counterparts look like amateurs.

I have no problem with putin, he just makes me love russia more. Most bad presidents just seem to embarrass themselves more than their country, but MExico's president doesn't seem like the sort that inspires confidence

Well the nukes used against Japan were only a fraction as powerful as the ones available today. However it would have been better if nukes weren't invented at all. Maybe US is to blame for that.

Even though he is no longer living, I would say that President Niyazov of Turkmenistanwas pretty embarassing. The dude wanted to build a palace made of ice, changed the Turkmen word for "bread" into the name of his late mother, and suggested that people should chew bones to strengthen their teeth like dogs do.

Obama is hot on his heels though. :P

Stalin killed 20 million of his own people. Compare with Hitler who killed 11 million. US bombing of both cities in Japan killed a maximum of 250,000 people.

To be honest, he really is not a bad head of state. My Dad works in Libya, yes there is some bad stuff you'd expect from a dictator. But he has the country running pretty well. Libya's ecomonic potential is really impressive.

Probably Robert Mugabe. He's run every part of Zimbabwe's economy into the ground, and everything he does to "fix" the problems usually make things worse. Zimbabwe had never been the most stable country, but it was in better shape compared to most African nations after gaining its independence.ProudLarry

My family lost all their farmland there with teh rise of the blacks. Shame Mugabe runned it into the ground. I really hope i can return there someday.

Sarkozy is a one in a hundred president. Freaky bloke. Brown is a mug. I cannot believe no one caught on to what he was doing as chancellor. Though he did ok with the economy following the recession, you have to give him that.

He was a better PM than Chancellor, that doesn't say much though. His heavy borrowing and increasing the amount of immigrants into the country is coming back on us. I am still fuming at him for selling our gold reserves:(.

I disagree. There are plenty of examples like Obama bowing to the Saudis that surpass anything that Bush did. Bush was not much of a public speaker (though i did not mind his tendency to make up words), but I definitely respected his steadfastness over Obama's "say anything to get the world to like us" policies. Bush was not afraid to call people out, Obama just wants to appease everyone regardless of how twisted and corrupt they are.

The fact that Obama has felt the need to apologize to China for an immigration law that an American state passed easily makes him competitive with other leaders in terms of embarassment.
