While Kim Jong II is pretty close, George W.Bush definitly brought the rest of the world plenty of laughs from his speeches and made many think " Seriously, That was the best candidate they had?"TreflisI wish we elected scientists and engineers instead of career politicians.
[QUOTE="Plzhelpmelearn"][QUOTE="Ace6301"] Really? On the foreign relations side I think Obama has been rather successful. At least successful compared to Bush who basically went around making a huge fool of himself and by extension the US. Obama hasn't reached Bush levels of embarrassment yet, and to be honest I really doubt he could.Ninja-HippoI disagree. There are plenty of examples like Obama bowing to the Saudis that surpass anything that Bush did. Bush was not much of a public speaker (though i did not mind his tendency to make up words), but I definitely respected his steadfastness over Obama's "say anything to get the world to like us" policies. Bush was not afraid to call people out, Obama just wants to appease everyone regardless of how twisted and corrupt they are. Bowing is their version of a handshake. :| Let's not be silly. That's nothing even close to a disaster.
I don't know. From the looks of the video it doesn't seem like the Saudi is bowing back.... regardless I don't think it was a "disaster", and I am definitely more concerned about his overall foreign policy.
[QUOTE="Ace6301"][QUOTE="Cherokee_Jack"] Eh. I never found him more embarrassing than Obama has been. He rubbed a lot of people the wrong way, much like Obama is doing.fidosimReally? On the foreign relations side I think Obama has been rather successful. At least successful compared to Bush who basically went around making a huge fool of himself and by extension the US. Obama hasn't reached Bush levels of embarrassment yet, and to be honest I really doubt he could. The fact that Obama has felt the need to apologize to China for an immigration law that an American state passed easily makes him competitive with other leaders in terms of embarassment.
This has been a poor century for presidents.
@ Ace: I was more referring to the American people. Obama is far from abraisive in his foreign policy - in fact he does his utmost to avoid any sort of confrontation at all....
Is it not better to be respected and a partner in the world than ignorant and antagonistic like Bush's administration falsely portrayed America? Ninja-HippoPleasantries aside, I hardly feel like we're more respected. Bush was flawed as a diplomatist, but at least he had a backbone. You knew that he was looking out not for the international "community", but for the interests of the United States. Not so with Obama, who apparently feels that he was elected president of the world. He ought to grow a spine and stick up for his own country.
[QUOTE="Snipes_2"]He's a bit embarrassing I have to admit. His thoughts on the oil leak: "plug that damn hole". Also he called Kanye a jackass regarding the Taylor Swift incident. I would hope that our president doesn't watch MTV Video Awards. I fail to see how that would constitute him to be anywhere remotely close to most embarrassing...Obama, Definitely.

The speech he gave in Saudia Arabia did more for the USA's reputation in the world than anything Bush did over his whole eight years.
Personally I believe Kevin Rudd of Australia was an embarrassment. Everything he touched turned to mud.
During the GFC he made a mess of the economy. Instead of saying "there is nothing fundamentally wrong with the Australian economy", which there was not, he kept talking down the economy and sapped any confidence that there was away. He then wasted billions of dollars on "stimulus" packages. He gave two lots of $900 payments to "stimulate the retail economy". I somehow got $2700 and it went, and still is, in the bank. Then he spent $2bn on a Home Insulation scheme which was so unregulated it led to fraud, nearly 1000 house fires and 4 deaths. He also spent $6bn on Building the Education Revolution which was to build facilities in schools. Thing is, this money didn't fund anything actually inside these buildings, so most of them are just empty shells, and it was so regulated over two-thirds of the cost of a project came from administration costs. He went from a $20bn surplus into a $50bn deficit in the space of a year, and it's still going to be another 3 years until we get into surplus again.

[QUOTE="spacesheikh"] Well the nukes used against Japan were only a fraction as powerful as the ones available today. However it would have been better if nukes weren't invented at all. Maybe US is to blame for that.Pirate700
The dropping of those bombs on Japan was the biggest terroristic attack I can recall period.
Its time we start maturing as a species.
Terrorist attack? We were already at war with them and stopped the war stone cold.\yeah thats right, we killed easily a million people that didn't have anything to do with it.
Secondly I find it ironic that you have this view, yet if muslims attacked anything over here in the united states it would be a terrorist attack, Even though they are already at war with us....

Super mega embarrassment? :?It's better to admit your country has done wrong than to blindly stay on message at all times. The speech he gave in Saudia Arabia did more for the USA's reputation in the world than anything Bush did over his whole eight years.Ninja-HippoObama has gone much farther than simply acknowledging that America has done wrong. He has used American wrongs to justify the atrocities of other nations, thus distorting our nation's message and jeopardizing our moral leadership and purpose. Every president, before this one, has sought to make the world appreciate the character, culture, and free institutions of the United States.
Obama has gone beyond that. He has elevated himself above his country, and taken it upon himself, personally, to provide moral leadership for the world. It was pathetic, for example, that he went to Berlin before he was even nominated for President by his own party, and chastised the world at large for "building walls", figuratively, between peoples and countries, while making no direct reference to the great statesmen like Churchill, Kennedy, Reagan, Thatcher, or Kohl who made the actual German divide disappear.
Emperor Palpatine he lost to ewoks and rebels while he had a huge army, grand fleets, and a ship that could destroy planets!

Super mega embarrassment? :? I do think it is kinda embarrassing for a president to be using vulgar language on national tv in the midst of an environmental crisis. It was a forced attempt to sound angry to appeal to his base. He should be solving the problem, not worrying about whose 'ass' to kick.[QUOTE="Ninja-Hippo"][QUOTE="Plzhelpmelearn"]Super mega embarrassment? :? When has he done this?
yeah what happened there how did the US win o wait derp because we pwn I cant wait for the day the USA loses and loses big just so all the people who say things like you just did can eat their own words. I live in the USA btw I just think the arrogant people need to step back and realize the USA needs to be taken down a peg or 2 Vietnam and the civil war the one where we lost the most Americans because we where kill each other and 911 really opened our eyes[QUOTE="superdum2"][QUOTE="spacesheikh"] Well for one, The US is still around...testfactor888

I don't see what the problem with that is. What made the US any better than the Soviet Union?
Exactly all these lines in the sand are from an immature time in humanities history.
People are starting to look past these invisible barriers, and are starting to connect with one another.
haha yeah right. FIFA should be a testament to how nationalistic people can get for god's sakes, which is to say nothing of how pissed people get when you say bad things about their country, America or otherwise.

Is there something wrong with getting angry when someone insults your country? I agree that fighting over soccer/football is a little of the top, but whats wrong with being proud of your country?Obama, Definitely.

I don't know if you could really call him embarassing; he was more evil than embarassing.
To be honest, I would be more frightened than humored by a guy dipping people in candle wax and setting them on fire just to light his room.
